Girl behind the counter was very nice. Ordered a Philly meal. Could not wven eat the meat on it. Had to pull it off. A Philly is supposed to have chopped up steak. This was a super tough roast beef. It was really bad. Dont get the Philly unless they make it how its supposed to be done everywhere else around the country. Not worth the $17

Sandwiches are just ok, no better than you can make at home. The bread is soft and dense and tastes like the rolls in a bag you get from Walmart. The meats and veggies did seem fresh. If you’re out and about, it’s an ok spot to stop.

The bathroom was bad though. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The place was dead when we were there, so it would be nice if the worker could give it a quick clean. Pretty nasty.

100% everyone should eat here. The food was amazing. The bread, food, everything. Omg it’s so awesome.
I highly recommend the Forest Fire. The spice of the mango habanero is superb. I wish there was more pineapple, but would def eat this again.

The sub sandwich was good but seemed like a pretty high price for just a sandwich. Also, only 1 couple ahead of me but with them ordering everything but the kitchen sink and just 1 young gal working, it was quite a wait time.

As a sandwich entrepreneur, Paul Bunyan Sub Shop is great! A full sub is definitely too much for one person, but is still great as a lunch/dinner combo. I will be back! Best sub shop in the area!
Hot and cold cut subs are both options. They also sell chips, cookies, and soda.
Bread choice: white and wheat. Bread is softer but very fresh and compliments the meats excellently

Its like an old subway was here and someone decided to make it a sub place of a different name and half the quality.

The breads ok. Nothing special. The names are cute, but they subs they made didn’t always match what we got. The meat is store bought and nothing interesting about it. It says it has hot subs but the home use toaster oven they have doesn’t even toast the bread they put in it. Over all nothing special and not worth the price. The single kid working did her best while her boss sat around the corner ignoring everyone coming in.

Food was good. Toppings for my sandwich were heated separately in a sauce pan while rest of sandwich was heated, which I’ve never seen before. Price is to be expected for the touristy area of Bemidji. Perfect for getting a quick bite to eat between seeing the shops.

Called in a to go order today as I typically do when I pick up lunch for the guys at the shop. Was told on the phone it would be about 20 minutes before my order would be ready due to a group of volleyball players coming in. I said the wait would be fine, however it ended up taking 40 minutes and to top it off they put extra mayo on my sub which I didn’t ask for, nor does the sub even come with mayo on it.

I am very disappointed to have wasted nearly an hour of my time and $15 just for a sandwich to be thrown in the trash.

It’s not what it used to be. My whole subs weigh in at less than half of what they used to. I would pay $8-$9 for a 2-3 lb sub

I get inflation. But if I’m paying $15 now I want my sub loaded with everything. I’m getting the bare minimum now. It’s still good but compared to what it used to be I’m totally disappointed
