My husband and I met some friends there for dinner and they had a band called funky monkey. The atmosphere was OK. The food was just OK. Nothing to brag about. We did have drinks Mexican martinis, which were good. But overall, the waitress was very slow in bring us the olives that we asked for for our martinis. She passed us 2× a3 time we stopped and said can we get our olives. My husband’s food was wrong. He got the Beef chili Renlleno That was supposed to have raisins and pecans. Again after a while, my husband told the waitress that it was left off of the food and she said oh that’s the Cook’s fault do you want me to and put them on the side. Then a friend of ours ordered chicken quesadillas and she got beef. Everything was just so messed up after everything was said and done. We got our ticket and there’s a 20% on there and we asked her why is there a 20% on the ticket? They said five or more they would add the tip. Well she said that was for the band. So our total bill was $108. It was actually like $81 then there was a 20% $18 added. I am very dissatisfied

My husband and I decided to try this place out. And,man, I’m so glad we did!
There was only 2 servers at the time we were there, but, our server- Fernanda, was attentive, polite, and friendly.
Place had good comfortable atmosphere, clean, and seemed spacious.
My husband got sweet tea, which he said was very good, and I got a Mexican martini, which was so good that I wish I had ordered another one.
We started with- chips, salsa, “queso Roberto” ( similar to queso compuesto) , and a guac salsa. All so very delicious that it was difficult to stop eating to save room for our dinner, lol.
I ordered chalupas- on the menu it’s called – “Gimmie Chalupas”, 2 to a plate, so I ordered one chicken and one beef so I could share one with my husband. He ordered the street tacos, 3 came on the plate, and he shared one with me. When we got our food, it came with a grilled jalapeno, and man, I loved that! So much so, I order a couple of those to go.
All the food was amazing! We will definitely go back.

We had a nice experience having dinner at this restaurant. We ordered the fajita plate with all sides and it was very good. The beat was soft, tender and very tasty. It seems that fajitas are the specialty because everyone at our table order those the menu extensive and buried so I’m sure there is, more delicious plates to try.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, and it has accents that make you feel as if you’re in a little town in Mexico.
The service was friendly, and courteous. Our food was served promptly and very warm. The sizzling sizzling griddle is very appropriate to serve you the freshest food possible. Most definitely will come back to try other plates from the menu.

The service was good, the place is nice, clean and spacious. The food was okay, nothing really stood out, but it wasn’t bad. Just basic, we had shrimp enchiladas and tortilla soup.

I’ve been there twice and both times the food was great and the portions were large.

The first time I had their chicken fajitas. Delicious and enough that I had leftovers for next day. This time I got one of their soups. Tons of chicken and could barely finish it. Also delicious.

My only issue is the service. Nothing against the wait staff, they were all great, there’s just not enough of them. Today there were only two (maybe three) during the lunch rush and they were running around non-stop. Whenever I needed something (water, more chips, etc) I would have to work hard to get their attention. Seems they need to schedule more during lunch/dinner hours.

Other than that though, the food was great and I highly recommend it.

Attentive staff and spacious restaurant. The queso was a cheese blend that im not familiar with. It was thick and just okay. The nachos were a nice baked chip thick enough to hold up toppings. I substituted queso cheese instead of shredded. I didn’t get an opportunity to try other menu items but would be open to doing so if ever in the area.

Great food and great service. The staff was very friendly. They may have been a little slow but the restaurant was pretty busy and it was lunch time so we understood. My friend had the BBQ brisket enchiladas and said that they were the best enchiladas she had ever had. The chips and salsa were so good! I really liked that they projected basketball games. I would definitely come back! Excellent Mexican food and pancakes! (;

Love DK’s! Their house margaritas are my favorite, hands down. That says a lot for living in Austin. Plus, their fajitas are delicious. Always a great value. Service can be a little slow sometimes, that’s usually during really busy times when they may be short staffed. But overall, the waitstaff is friendly and kind.

Mira listen. I don’t think people come here for the food. While it’s decent and edible, the real star of the show is the ambiance. We showed up at 7:00 on Wednesday to a live band, people dancing, having fun, and carrying on like they have 0 troubles in the world. And that’s why I’ll be coming back.

I had nachos that came out soggy and my mans had a chimichanga that was absolutely fine. The drinks were fine. But the vibes were excellent. I will say that the best part of our meal was the homemade chips and salsa. Love a homemade chip.

We had 10 people in our party and were seated right away. The food portions were unexpectedly big and delicious. Unlimited chips and salsa were a plus and kept the kids happy while waiting for our food. Even their margaritas were to our liking….with a kick. So glad we found this place and will go back again. We didn’t take photos of all the plates, but here are two.
