Burger + Cajun fries + pudding =
The loaded Cajun fries are so yummy!! Homemade fries, sweet pickles, double cheeseburger patties, caramelized onions + baddies sauce! We also tried the pudding of the month, Red Velvet!
The staff was so quick & friendly and the restaurant was clean, we can’t wait to go back!
I already ordered this to cater our office lunch on Friday! Yummy!
The photo doesn’t even come close to capturing how incredible it tasted. I had to double-check it was actually gluten-free because it was THAT good. The patties had perfectly crisped edges, the bun held up amazingly (yes, it’s an extra $3, but 100% worth every penny), and everything just hit the spot.
I went for the gluten-free double all the way combo with Cajun fries. Pure perfection! I’ll be back again and again—no hesitation.
The location is a hole in the wall downtown , just off the square . Parking is a challenge . After circling the block I caught someone pulling out of a curbside spot around the corner and parked and walked .
Interest is high and seating is limited . There was a line stretching to the door the entire time we were there.
When I made it the counter the person taking my order was friendly and energetic. The prices are very reasonable for what you get .
I opted for the triple , with everything on the side , and the Cajun fries. Honestly the Cajun fries were a little too Cajun for me, but there was no way to know without trying. They were hot and fresh and next time I’ll just get them regular .
I’m not wholly sold on the smash burger phenomenon, but I have to say this burger was delicious . The meat had a bold taste and good texture and was hot off the grill top . There was plenty of cheese and the lace of caramelized beef on the edge of the patties from the Maillard reaction added new dimensions of flavor and texture.
Despite the challenges of seating and parking I’d say this lunch counter is a success . It’s simple menu and tasty food will keep me coming back , and presumably many others as wells
