I was at one of my home listings in Belle Plaine today. After I showed ths home I stopped in for lunch. Wow what a great place. Very low key with a full bar and all the games on the TVs today. The food was great I had the fish and my buddy had the hot pot roast sandwich. Nice size portions and great service. Less than 10 minutes from Jordan south on 169.
If you are thinking about moving southwest from the Twin cities, there are some great homes for sale. All shapes, sizes and price ranges. Reach out to me if you have any questions. I have several clients that love the area because they are half way to the cities and Mankato.

Laid back casual, items were added that were not ordered, and items ordered were not brought to table. 5 of us total having breakfast.
Food was pretty good,
The eggs were cooked well, ordered over medium and they were. Hot syrup was brought to table with pancakes,, that’s a bonus.

I’ve been there 2 times for lunch. Both times not busy at all. Service has been good. I love the chilaquiles both times. I would say get it without the protein upgrade. They are one of few places that can actually make it and make it good. This time a friend got omelette and said it was extremely good. My wife got a salad and it looked great and everything was very good. Had a lot of other friends go here and say everything has been good. The menu is pretty diverse and a lot of very good options. Nice place to stop and get some food. They do have some great specials daily.

These are my go to when I visit Ruby’s. Chicken mushroom penne pasta and basil, pesto flatbread.
Okay WERE my go too. They changed the menu a couple weeks ago so I ordered the Chicken Parmesan pasta which is really good. I also ordered the Chicken Broccoli Pasta. It has some spice to it ( cause of the peppers ) which I liked. So here is photos of those dishes. I did to-go this time around as well

Visited with a party of 16. We let Ruby’s know in advance to save tables. It seems like they did that but had a small wait to move the tables together. Wasn’t bad at all
As for the service. The server was quick and got every order correct. Surprised we didn’t have much of a wait for our food either.
The food was really good. Many people in my group were satisfied. I even mentioned that Belle Plaine finally has a restaurant to compete with Johan’s, for food quality. I got the Mac n cheese with Buffalo chicken. Ate it all. Shared cheese curds with my brother and we ate them all.
The food wasn’t terribly priced. Most dishes seemed to be $15-ish dollars.

We stopped in while passing through town, though the overgrown and unkempt exterior should have been a warning sign. Inside, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated for Halloween, which our kids enjoyed.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The sodas were flat and warm, and both the chicken sandwich and open-face roast beef had a fishy taste, likely from the oil used on the toast. My wife and I couldn’t finish our meals — though they kindly didn’t charge me for mine. The kids’ chicken tenders were extremely dry, but our other child had a burger and seemed to enjoy it, so perhaps that’s the safer choice.
Service was polite, and while we were the only ones there at first, a few guests came in later. Overall, despite a few positives, we won’t be returning.

My husband and I tried Rubys for breakfast Saturday morning. We got our drinks quickly but we unfortunately sat for 40 minutes before our server took our order. After ordering, food came relatively fast and the food we had was delicious. My husband also ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was probably the best Bloody Mary he’s ever had. Our server was very nice and was running around like crazy and also making drinks at the bar, so of course we tried to give some grace and patience being it was their first week open. We will definitely return.

My hubby and I visited for our 14th wedding anniversary. This was the first time we’ve eaten here since it opened. We had a lovely time!
Jayne was our server, and she was phenomenal! Super friendly, welcoming, and spunky! It was obvious that she enjoys her job, and it was lovely chatting with her when she checked in on us.
The decor is simple and warm, and it feels very open. There is a nice variety of seating options, with tables, booths, and countertops (where you can watch the cooks in action)! It has a large parking lot with handicap accessible parking, entrance, and seating.
I ordered the turkey club with fries, which was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! It had avocado on it, which gave it a nice freshness. My hubby ordered the spicy jalapeno beef omelet. The jalapenos had a nice heat level and gave it a fresh taste as well. The beef they used was very tender!
The food came out quickly and hot!
It was all around a beautiful meal, well-prepared, and served with care. It’s great to see this space in the right hands again! We will visit many more times in the future, and we’ll be spreading the word about Ruby’s to family and friends.

Expensive for mediocre food. The cheese curds left a pool of grease and we’re essentially 1 big blob. The burger was small and undercooked. Pink or no pink was the choice. No pink had half the burger pink still. Not sure if that was the server or cooks fault.
