I had the pleasure of stopping in yesterday evening after work. I must say I am heavy on the bake turkey wings OMG seasoned & cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the kale greens & the yellow rice. The Catfish is my fave & the soul rolls are chef

I honestly did not expect to find real soul food inside a mall, but this place surprised me in the BEST way.
The fried fish was perfectly seasoned and fried just right — crispy on the outside and tender inside. The smothered turkey wings were falling off the bone, full of flavor, and clearly cooked with care. The yams tasted homemade, like somebody’s grandma made them, and the kale was cooked so good I almost thought it was collard greens.
I also tried the caramel banana pudding and the blue lemonade, and both were a hit. The lemonade gave me real throwback vibes, and the dessert was the perfect way to end the meal.
It’s refreshing to finally have quality soul food as an option when you’re tired of the usual mall food.

The smothered turkey wing, mac and cheese, and stewed kale were excellent. The person who served me was so friendly and charismatic, i wish i could have returned that same energy but I was too tired
They’re tucked away in the back corner of the food court but make sure you check them out!

Tried K&G Soul Food three times. Great first impression, but the food quality hasn’t been consistent since, sometimes charred or overcooked. The catfish is solid overall, and the staff is friendly. Consistency would make this place shine.

I really love some good soul food. Overall I was satisfied with this place. The turkey wing was pretty solid. The mac & cheese were delicious. And the mashed potatoes were just fine nothing special. My biggest point of complaint was just how expensive it was. Our meals were about $22 each, which is the same price as some table service restaurants but I do understand that rent is probably very high, especially at a place like perimeter mall. I will say I would go here just for the mac & cheese. That’s how good it was.

The food was so good that I ate it before I could take pictures! Thank you K&G Southern kitchen for some of the best soul food we’ve had in a while! I had the Smothered Turkey Wing Meal with Mash Potatoes and Yams. My husband had the Southern Fried Chicken Meal with Yams and Kale. The food was incredible and Bri and Tee were super nice!

Awful. I just got served 1/2 cooked chicken. The 3 super larger wings was cook in old burn grease. Cook faster than should be. The drumstick and wing would not separate. The meat wouldn’t pull easily from the bone. I also had the kale with was truly on point. The cornbread dressing was good, needy gravy, cranberry. Done needs to teach the young man how to fry!

It’s truly the smothered turkey wings & kale that has me coming back. They are off in the cut of the food court but as soon as you see them & head over you’ll smell all the delicious goodness of southern comfort. Just be prepared for the itis after and if they have the egg rolls TRY THEM!!!! The owner is friendly & the staff welcoming. Top tier black owned business.
