True story, I was on my way home from a funeral hadn’t ate since yesterday and I wanted to just get something light so I thought I was gonna get some fries until I saw the gas station and I pulled over went in. I was gonna order some nachos, but I said not sure how that’s gonna taste so I order two chorizo tacos. Let me tell you the best ever I live 30 minutes from this place and I will probably be here three times a week. Sorry I’m driving. I’m voice texting so sorry if this is incorrect vocabulary lol

Searching for authentic Mexican food in the area, I stumbled upon Lil Kikos Taqueria , hoping for a flavorful taste of tradition. Unfortunately, this franchise—or perhaps this specific location—fell far short of expectations, leaving me disappointed with both the food and the overall experience.
The tacos were a major letdown. The tortillas were simply heated without any oil, resulting in a dry, lackluster base that failed to hold up to the fillings. Speaking of fillings, the beef tasted like it was reheated from yesterday’s leftovers, especially noticeable during my morning visit. It lacked the juiciness and vibrant flavor you expect from a good taco, making each bite feel like a chore rather than a delight.
The breakfast burrito was equally underwhelming. It was overwhelmingly stuffed with egg, drowning out any other flavors. The beef, which was supposed to be a key component, was barely present, and despite ordering a burrito with beans, I couldn’t find a single one in mine. To top it off, the use of mozzarella cheese instead of a traditional Mexican blend felt like a bizarre choice, stripping away any authenticity the dish might have had.
Beyond the food, the store itself felt neglected. The layout was disorganized, with everything in an odd spot, making the atmosphere feel chaotic and uncared for. Overall, my experience at Lil kikos Taqueria was a major disappointment. For anyone seeking bold, authentic Mexican flavors, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Ordered a couple of breakfast burritos through delivery. I have to say, breakfast burritos hold up surprisingly well to the temperature/freshness drop from delivery. The carne asada and the barbecoa were really good, but the barbecoa is tops.
Would have given it five stars, but they don’t offer potatoes as part of the filling. 🙁 That would have made it like… California good!
