This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This restaurant was recommended to me and I know everyone has different ideas about pizza so I never know what to expect. I got a pepperoni Pizza and fries and took them out to my vehicle to eat. Everything was nice and hot and the fries were some of the better pizza house fries I have had. The pizza was ok, the crust was much doughier than I care for but the sauce was quite nice. Maybe a bit more cheese (personal preference). The lady behind the counter was very pleasant. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 5.6

Did a pick up order and from the phone call to pick up, very efficient service and pleasant.

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant, and my experience was extremely disappointing. For a meal costing between $20-$30, I expected a higher standard of both food quality and service, but unfortunately, the establishment failed to meet even basic expectations.
To begin with, the buffalo chicken wings were a significant letdown. They were beyond overcooked, resulting in a tough, dry texture that made them almost inedible. The wings lacked any hint of juiciness and were hard to chew, making the eating experience quite unpleasant. Furthermore, they were nearly devoid of the distinctive buffalo flavor that one would expect. Instead of the spicy, tangy kick that defines buffalo wings, these were bland and tasteless. It seemed as though the wings had been prepared without any proper seasoning or sauce, which is inexcusable for a dish that should be bursting with flavor. The absence of any noticeable buffalo sauce was glaring, and the wings felt more like plain fried chicken rather than the flavorful buffalo wings advertised.
The pizza I ordered was similarly disappointing. It had very little flavor, with a bland sauce that lacked any zest and an underwhelming amount of cheese and toppings. The sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can, without any additional seasoning or effort to make it flavorful. The cheese was sparse and did not have the rich, gooey texture that makes pizza enjoyable. The toppings were minimal and seemed to be of low quality, contributing to an overall lackluster dish. The crust was mediocre at best—neither crispy nor soft, it felt like it had been sitting out for a while before being served. The pizza as a whole lacked any semblance of the care and attention that typically goes into making a great pizza, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.
Adding to the poor quality of the food was the subpar service. When I picked up my order, the staff member who attended to me was not only unhelpful but also seemed disinterested in providing any level of decent customer service. Her demeanor was dismissive and unwelcoming. She did not make any effort to ensure that my order was correct or that I had everything I needed before leaving. There was no greeting, no smile, and no attempt to make the customer feel valued. This lack of attention to customer care was quite off-putting and certainly detracted from the overall experience. It felt as though the staff was just going through the motions without any genuine interest in providing a positive dining experience.
Given the price point, I had anticipated a much more satisfying meal and a higher level of service. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not deliver on either front. The combination of flavorless, overcooked buffalo wings and bland pizza, along with poor customer service, makes it impossible for me to recommend this place to others. It is particularly concerning if the same staff member who provided such poor service continues to work there, as it reflects badly on the establishment’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Overall, my experience was a disappointment in every aspect—from the overcooked, flavorless buffalo wings to the bland pizza and the lackluster service. This establishment needs significant improvements in both food quality and customer service to meet even basic expectations. We live 60 seconds up the road from this place, and so we have been here many times throughout the years. For us, the food is never a grand slam – but it’s always good food at a good price. The people who work there are always friendly and kind. The food comes out quick. The inside is pretty small, but not many people dine-in so there’s always been a place to sit and eat when we wanted to eat in. The menu has a ton of choices, but we normally get pizza and grinders or sandwiches, maybe some chicken fingers for the kids. I see some rough reviews below mine, but can definitely say that so far I’ve never had any experience that would make me want to leave a bad review – the food has consistently been good over the course of many years, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for some pizza or grinders.

I have only been there once and have no desire to ever go again. I was treated to pizza with an elderly couple and one of the elderly persons I was with was a Vietnam Vet and there were no prices on the menu for the sodas so I asked the man working as the cook and he said to me “Which size” , I replied all of them. He had a nasty attitude and got teed off with me having asked. The three of us ordered a large cheese pizza with half of it with pepperoni and mushrooms. Well the one canned soda was supposed to be $1.55 and the bottled small one was supposed to be under $3 . The pizza should have been just around $11 plus $2 more for half pepperoni and mushrooms. So when the Veteran’s wife went up to pay she said to that rude man / cook… “I hope it is not that expensive “. So.the male cook replied with a very sarcastic statement, ” Oh yeah real expensive”. I shouted out “Is there a senior Citizen discount?” I got no answer and she was charged $20.22 . So they were definitely overcharged! Any buisness that has an employee that treats senior citizens very rudely and rips them off , especially when they are my good Christian friends for over 20 years does not deserve their patronage. It is sad they have no car and I live very far from them and she said she would still go if they walk there and never get toppings again on one side of the pizza. These folks are in their 70″s and mid 80’s. I wished they would never go there again.

This place is rock solid. They’re also unusually good at frying. The fries and fried mozzarella are possibly the best around, including higher end restaurants, and always super crispy. The menu doesn’t have anything very unusual or extravagant, but I’ve never once been served bad or incorrect food here in at least a dozen take-outs. The kitchen always looks clean and I’ve never been made to wait longer than expected. It’s obvious to me that the people at P-HOP are very hard workers.
