Genuinely wonderful experience at this bakery. My boyfriend and I were on vacation in early January and felt instantly welcomed in from the cold. We got the cheesy biscuit which was out of this world delicious, buttery and crusty. And the nice lady offered us free samples of her sourdough bread which was also amazing. We sat and ate our bread and soda water for a little lunch and appreciated the art she had hanging on the walls and her beautiful plants she had grown while relaxing to some soft jazzy music she was playing. I’ve never had a lovelier time.

I am a bread junkie. I’m from Chicago and found this spot, by chance, on a trip up north. We have some good spots in Chicago but I have NEVER had bread as good as this. It’s untouchable. It has been 4 years since I last had it and I think about it more often than I should. Like I said, bread junkie. I always ask anyone passing through to grab me a few loaves. The last person that brought me some showed up with half eaten loaves. She said she couldn’t stop eating it. I couldn’t even be upset. I fully understood. If you find yourself in the area… don’t make the mistake of missing this spot. Also, bring your boy some.

The best rolls I ever had! And the chocolate chip cookie was Amazing! Super nice lady who’s husband does the baking! A Super Duo, to be sure! You can order ahead, which is what the gentleman in front of me did, to ensure he got the blueberry scones! And he did! Six fresh from the oven! As a first time, and not knowing what to get, once I saw the case, I wanted one of everything!! Well worth a visit!! Thank you for a fabulous breakfast (of rolls during my stay in Manistee) and two nights of desserts with the cookie (since it was so big!)

The rolls, quinoa bread, and peanut butter cookies are outstanding! Check their Facebook page for the items available each day, but take whatever they have, you won’t regret it. Plan ahead because the hours are limited and order ahead of you want something specific.

Beautiful and delicious. This was a wonderful stop on a crisp fall day driving with our sons to see the only sequoias in Michigan (that I know of). We can’t wait to go back. That soup! So full of flavor… 🙂

There isn’t a ton more to add that hasn’t already been said. This place has amazing bread and cookies. The store is small and you have to be prepared that they might sell out of things before you get there. They do have an active Facebook page where they post what they are baking and you can place an order. I highly recommend checking that out and ordering ahead so you’re not disappointed. However, even if your first choice is sold out, I’m reasonably certain that your second choice will be fabulous as well.
Great staff, great bread, cute shop–what’s not to love!

A one of a kind experience in Manistee! Walking into the front door has you transcended into a european bistro. The bread is delicious and owner very nice.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Daily Bakehouse in Manistee, Michigan, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This charming bakery offers an incredible variety of baked goods that far exceeded our expectations.
The owner’s kindness truly stood out—she generously gave us two complimentary loaves of bread, including one filled with delicious raisins and walnuts. We also purchased their chocolate chip cookies, which were nothing short of amazing—perfectly baked and packed with flavor.
Hats off to the owner for creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and running such a lovely establishment. We can’t wait to return and try more of their treats! Highly recommended.
