Such a cool little spot. They sell some of the best onigiri I’ve had. always fresh and packed with flavor. I’ve been coming here for months now and it never misses. Great food, chill vibe, and it’s one of those places you keep going back to without even thinking about it. Highly recommend.

Pros: Great onigiri. Shop has really cute vibes and aesthetic. Staff is usually friendly.

Cons: Everything is incredibly marked up and expensive, especially the drinks ($11 for a cloud latte with no extras!). Teapots were labeled for $30 that you can find elsewhere for $15.

But the most recent “con” was learning the shop carries and supports brands like Sadoer, which makes products using actual horse fat. And, as a horse person, this horrified me.

I am all for cultural diffusion and understand that other countries see horse fat/meat as relevant as we do beef and pork, but that is not a trend I’d like to see become more popular in the western world considering environmental impact as well as animal cruelty. I would encourage the owner to stop carrying products and brands like this, especially since they seem to value eco friendly product already.

I gave this place an honest shot, I’ve come here about 4 times over the past year and a half, trying different menu items to see if it has improved. The onigiri is incredibly overpriced for the quality and amount of fillings ($6.00 now), the rice falls apart, and everything is super bland. They put as little filling as possible into specifically any meat filled onigiri. The drinks are okay, but lose appeal greatly due to price. There are many other Boba shops in rva where they charge about the same but the cups are way bigger for what you get. Honestly I won’t come here again; price doesn’t match quality or quantity.

Super cute shop with lots of household items, gifts, knick knacks, overpriced tea and coffee vessels. If I were to have a shop, it would be just like this one. I enjoyed browsimg their collection and offerings. Reminds me of SE Asia markets!

Their milk tea satisfied my cravings but was not impressed but the taste or quality. Plus it took almost 20 mins to get the drink.

Seriously, the best Onigiri I have had since going to Japan! I was just making my monthly trip from Crozet, VA to Lotte when I noticed the store. I will 100% be adding it as a stop from now on. The Karaage onigiri was amazing! Got my mom to try the spam masubi and she was in love. Can NOT recommend this place more! Can not wait to be back!!!

I came here for the spicy tuna onigiri. But the price is not affordable. I used to get Onigiri for $0.5 when I visited the South Korea and Japan. But this place is like $7-$8 each. You can buy a 20 sheets of Onigiri wrappers at Asian market for $5. You can make own with just a sticky rice and whatever you would like add. But Strawberry green tea was so good. It took 17 minutes to get my order (2 onigiris and a drink) and store was crowded very quickly because the store is very small. but it’s great for to-go snacks. I will order on online next time!

I stumbled on this place because I was craving a matcha latte. I ended up trying the spicy tuna onigiri as well as the salted duck egg (both warmed up) they were both very delicious! The staff was really friendly and the shop was cute. There were about 4 seating areas available. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting 🙂 This was also one of the best matcha latte’s I’ve ever had! I had it with coconut milk, highly recommend.

3/3/24 Ubereats order of tempura shrimp, spicy mayo tuna onigiri and kimchi onigiri. This was my second order from this resturant and I was just as happy as before. I really wanted the experience to open the onigiri packaging . Everything was delicious! I wish the milk tea came sealed instead of just having a lid, to really prevent tampering during delivery.

I’ve been wanting to come for a while now since I love fresh onigiri and I have to admit I’m a little disappointed. The onigiri display is cute, and the origiri itself is good. It’s not amazing. I got the chicken katsu and the spicy mayo tuna warmed up, as well as the chicken curry and the braised pork belly (which I haven’t tried yet).

I didn’t realize this, but it’s just a section within the Sen Organic Farmers Market. They’ve made a cute little space for it, but there’s limited seating as a result of it being inside the existing store. If you’re absolutely craving onigiri, this is like the only place in Richmond that sells it, but if you’re wanting everything else, you can probably find what you’re looking for elsewhere with more seating.

Onigiri are good but maddeningly expensive, so be warned. I like how they warmed them up though, it was a great snack while my friend was getting her hair done nearby.

She loved the chicken katsu onigiri, and I enjoyed the salted duck egg onigiri (great seasoning!)
