We love the food and atmosphere! Sometimes there is a little wait but it’s because it gets really busy after church. If you are in a rush it might not be your spot, but it is worth the wait! And prices are very good.

Took over an hour for our food most of it was not warm our waitress never refilled our coffee and she only stopped at our table to get our order, drop off the drinks and then the food. A couple came in 45 minutes after us and the husband got his food before us and 3 other tables that were there before even us. This was not our first time there but will be our last

S&D has become our favorite breakfast spot! We’ve tried other places in Waukon and found they weren’t welcoming. Staff and the owner are always extremely nice at S&D! Food is great and you can’t beat the prices. Highly recommend!

An “old times” restaurant with a wide menu choice, delicious food and pricing that is so fair. We did not feel rushed at all. The hot beef roast sandwich got my husband’s approval and my small taco salad satisfied me. And I got to taste my husband’s chocolate malt, which was actually malty! If we are in the area again, it will be for a revisit.

We were passing through town and needed lunch. We spotted this cafe and gave it a try. We took a pleasant step back in time when we entered. The decor was from the 50s-60s and great. They had stools at the counter, tables and booths. Well worn but comfortable. The staff was welcoming and fun to chat with. We were shocked at the prices. Our lunch for two people, with sodas was under 20 bucks. The food was fantastic. We definitely will make it back here in the future.
