I ordered food for delivery and was so pleased! The food arrived still hot, portion size was generous, and the kalua pork was melt in your mouth delicious! The macaroni salad and rice sides were also top notch. Well done!

I wanted something different, but really didn’t know what to eat or where to go (since I was from out of town/state). I did a Google search and this place came up. I figured I’d try it out. I got there at 8:00 and they close at 8:30. They were already closing up as much as possible so they can head out the door and who can blame them? I had never had “Hawaiian BBQ” before and had no idea about the flavors or anything. The menu all in all isn’t anything that would cause any type of of “shock” or anything. Upon walking in, the employees were engaging and very personable. It felt like I just walked in to a buddy’s house. While trying to make up my mind on what I wanted there were several people that came in. They were in and out there…so service was top notch. I finally decided what I wanted and put in my order. I was staying in a terrible hotel (Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown/Ship Creek) and didn’t want to go back, so I told them dine-in. As people were coming in and leaving and I saw that they were trying to get out, I changed it to take out and they were good with that (who wouldn’t right…means you can get the move on and move on). I took it back to my hotel and the food was still hot and delicious! For what I got (BBQ Mix (steak, chicken and shredded pork)) with a drink it was $24, but it was worth it. With the amount and flavor…worth it. I do recommend using the soy sauce with the rice. The meat was cooked and seasoned well. I’d definitely would visit this place again (heck the employees alone made it a nice experience).

This was my first time trying Hawaiian food as I live on the East Coast. It was delicious! I got the half and half. The chicken katsu and the pork laulau. The chicken was okay. But the laulau was incredible!! I will definitely order more of that next time instead.

The food was satisfying! Ordered the Chicken Katsu which is my normal order. Portions are more than you probably need but I am happy with that! Who can complain about too much food! The macaroni salad portion could be more however!! Without the sauce this would be too dry! Extra sauce I say!

Tasty Hawaiian classics served up as big portions. I’ve had L&L several times in Hawai’i but first time in Anchorage. It’s a step up from fast food, but served up quickly. I had the chicken Bbq and it was good and the portion was huge.

Went here on Saturday, but happened to get there right before closing. I incorrectly assumed they’d be open later than 8, but say they were starting to clean up. I offered to change my order, to to-go, but both the cashier and the young man cleaning the dining room soured me repeatedly it was no problem and to take my time.
I was impressed with their courtesy and service, and the food is consistently good, portions are sizable, and it’s never a problem to customize things. Employees are pleasant, and I’m happy to see they’re on the app now.
It can be a little expensive, comparatively, but you do get a good amount of food and it’s tasty.
I will say, a homeless gentlemen came in twice asking for food, which isn’t their fault but isn’t unexpected across the street from the mission.

Stopped by here on a whim. So glad we did. Ordered the BBQ Combination plate and the chicken Katsu. Both meals were excellent. Food came out in about 10mins. We dined in and enjoyed every aspect of it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
