Went with a larger group of ladies (15) for wine tasting and making. We tasted all of the different fruit wines and had a great time! I personally am a big fruit wine fan so really enjoyed the tasting. Herb Ertlinger would approve!! Ordered the crispy asian chicken wrap with fries. Their Korean BBQ sauce is yummy and the fries were so crispy.

I do not know much about wine or wine making (not a big drinker) but joined a dozen of my friends in my foodie girls group to test and make our own wine at Your Wine Cellar. The larger the group, the cheaper your own total will be!

Your Wine Cellar is hidden inside of Brew Kettle and Top Golf in Strongsville, nearby Walmart. Don’t be fooled by the outdated Google Images of a place with its own sign – it no longer is labeled clearly.

Meg was our host and director of our wine making adventure. She was great! We went through a dozen or so rounds of wine tastings to decide, as a group, what we will make. Each sample is $1 and I only tried a few, sticking mostly to the fruity ones. I liked the California Moscato the best of the whites. I only tried one red, the Diablo. The Diablo was the one we ended up making. The making process took about 10 minutes.

We also were able to order food from the Brew Kettle. The food I ordered for lunch will be part of the review I wrote for Brew Kettle, which will be published soon after this one.

Overall, I had a fun time with my friends, learning about what kinds of wines we like and don’t like. In 8 weeks, we are coming back to bottle and label our wines! The entire process ended up being $20-25 a person.

Went here twice within a 6 month period hoping to sample several wines but were completely blown off by the gal working behind the counter. She ignored our attempts to get her attention multiple times although we were sitting right in front of her. We were made to feel invisible though she was happy to take care of others sitting at the wine bar or those at tables. We’ve been here quite a few times over the years and had an enjoyable time when it was run by someone else. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

The wine you make tastes good.

During session 1 of 2, you don’t mash the grapes, measure any ingredients, pour in the ingredients, put on lid or install the pressure relief valve. The Wine Cellar staff does the measuring while you watch. You’ll learn about the chemistry of making wine. During session 1 of 2 , it takes about 15-30 minutes for one 5 gallon bucket of wine. The bottling session takes about 30-60 minutes.

When I made beer 20 years ago at their neighboring sister shop, The Brew Kettle’s brew-on-premises/do-it-yourself brewery, it was more of an immersive experience than making wine.

My first time at this winery and sat at the bar for approximately 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us. Went next to the brewery attendant, and still did not get any service or acknowledgement so we left. Will NOT recommend anyone here. Disappointed !!!
