The poached chicken was cooked just right — tender, juicy, and pleasantly bouncy without being tough. The ginger-scallion sauce was fragrant and well-balanced, and I highly recommend pairing the chicken with their pho noodles and broth. The broth has a clean, savory depth with just the right level of saltiness, and the rice noodles are incredibly smooth and silky, which really elevates the whole dish.

Even though the shop is quite busy, the staff are friendly and attentive, and service remains efficient — our food came out in about 15 minutes, which felt very reasonable.

If you take the chicken home on its own, the seasoning may feel a bit light, since it’s really meant to be enjoyed together with the soup and noodles. As a full combo, though, everything comes together beautifully and feels comforting and satisfying.

This place serve the best chicken pho and other authentic Vietnamese dishes. Whenever we travel to Southern California this is a must place to stop by for lunch. Servers are all like your nice aunts, you can feel the homey atmosphere as a lot of regulars eat at this restaurant. You to try the chicken pho to know what this dish suppose to taste like!

Come hungry. Everything we ordered was excellent. The turmeric fish & dill came with a lot of veggies, the fish was crispy but tender. The pho ga paired well with the accompanying ginger sauce. The bun rieu and bun cha ca hai phong were so good and slightly sour from the tomatoes. We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu.

They have the best pho ga, bun rieu and banh cuon thit. Banh tom was great too! It was delicious!

Ordered the classic chicken pho and crabmeat+egg pho with tomato soup base. The food came out really quick and the small size was plenty enough to fill us up. I like that the foods were not too salty but also the flavors didn’t seem so strong. It tasted rather simple for me because I was expecting more flavors. The chicken pho broth tasted like good plain chicken soup and may be it’s how it’s supposed to be.

Our biggest turn off was the hygiene. The chopsticks were too sticky that I couldn’t even wipe them with tissues without the tissues sticking to the chopsticks. The saucer that had the dipping sauce in (for the chicken pho) had a detergent smell. Lastly, the beansprouts looked so terrible. It looked like it was sitting in their fridge for weeks? I can’t believe it was still served in this bad state.

These ladies were nice and the food portion was huge. Next time we will go with small instead of large. Definitely give this place a try! It gets packed quick so be here early. You may also have to sit pretty close to other tables if they’re packed. I sat next to someone less than 2 ft away from me.

Came here to try bun rieu. The size is hearty, and the taste is pretty decent. Tasted better versions of bun rieu in OC. Think its pretty alright.

The service was friendly. Thinking it could be a women owned business. Ladies were sweet and accommodating. I requested to have the papaya salad without meat and all shrimp instead. They were able to adjust the dish.

Overall, the food is good. I’m still on the hunt to find good bun rieu in the 626. Open to recommendations!!

Down with the flu? Need something to warm you up? CHICKEN PHO! Pho ga!

– chicken pho: my go to when I’m feeling noodly or sick or when I just don’t know what to eat. I also like this dish with vermicelli- super good

– hainan chicken rice: dark meat or white on top of chicken flavored steamed rice with your choice of ginger scallion sauce(my fave) or ginger chili. Comes with soup- same soup for the chicken pho

– crab roe noodles: so damn good it’s a light umami flavored broth with tomatoes and just goes so well together especially with that crab roe paste. So damn good. ( my usual order when I don’t want chicken pho)

– fried sweet potato shrimp: it’s like shrimp and sweet potato cake, so good especially eight the sauce and the lettuce wrap

– then I order half a chicken to take home to munch on.

The phở gà (chicken noodle soup) was decent but the service was terrible! We were surprised that even the locals were telling us how awful the older male waiter is. He’s just too rough for customer service!

This is a 3.5 star review. We tried the beef and chicken rice noodle soup and the Hainan chicken. The chicken itself tastes good and meat the juicy but the portion of the meat is not many for the Hainan chicken. Noodle soup broth is refreshing and flavorful. Overall, it’s a good place if you want to have Pho with fresh chicken broth.
