After about 18 years in the pizza business, it was time to leave his mark on Ypsilanti’s love for local brands, as the opportunity and timing created an ideal location for his dreams. The Pizza shop is conveniently located around Eastern Michigan University’s campus and Depot town, and a thriving Muslim community in the Ann Arbor/ Ypsilanti area which makes it a good target market for our offerings. Had a hankering for a lil pizza and wanted something local, happened to see reviews for Issa’s and decided to give it a try. The customer service alone is worth coming back. Very happy with the small supreme I ordered and enjoyed the positive energy and conversation from the staff. After looking closer at their menu there’s a bunch of fun and experimental items I’m looking forward to trying out soon!

I wish I could give 10/5 stars for service alone. 8/5 for food at atmosphere. As a 30 yr old pizza lover this is the best pizza I’ve had. If you had a chance to interact with the owner, I’m happy for you. Extremely accommodating and just so nice and pleasant. Highly recommend!

Issa’s pizza scores every time! From the classics to unique specials, they do the pizza game so well. It’s pizza you can count on while being affordable (IN this economy! Pizza angels!) I am a pizza girlie and this is my pizza spot now. It should be yours, too.

Yo, the service was on point! I finally found a spot that has beef pepperonis instead of pork.
The price was reasonable too. I only paid about $9 bucks for this pizza. And the ingredients tasted fresh as heck!

The pizza quality here is below average and honestly is lower than some other chain pizza restaurants even. The cheese is okay, the toppings are pretty low quality and you do not get very many at all. The ranch sauce they use they claim is homemade but I have a strong bet that it’s premade and is just very average. The service was just okay at best. The cost is way too expensive compared to the product and quality you get. There system is also over charging customers per menu item by somehow the math just being wrong, I pointed this out to the lady at the register who didn’t understand and then the manager who was dismissive of the problem. It broke down the cost of each thing and when I added it up it was less than what the subtotal of the item was. I can’t say whether they are purposely doing this to scam customers but I will tell you he did not seem to care when I pointed it out, so take that with what you will. The overall location was questionable where I would not recommend dining in but if you are gonna eat here take it to go.

It was fine, nothing spectacular but at least the ingredients tasted fresh. Was a little disappointed at the seemingly rushed feeling the pizza was made – cheese did not cover all of the sauce and left at least inch and half of crust on pizza and bread. The sauce is a little sweet for my taste, especially because the cheese wasnt salty enough to balance it. I wouldnt write them off and I would try again, but my first order left something to be desired.

This place and the very pleasant women that work there just won a spot not just on my dinner table but in my heart. U walk in and the kindness and the smiles on the beautiful people that work there warmed my heart on Avery sad and sick day I was having the pizza was so good and the ranch was totally drinkable for us ranch lovers u know what I mean 5* on the ranch alone! The prices are very low for theses days and best of all it’s all HALAL! For those who are unaware Halal is a practice of clean and non animal cruelty way of food preparation so that u only taste the goodness of the meat and ingredients. And u really can tell the different and peace of mind know no animal suffered for your meal! I can’t wait to go back and try some of there other options like the wings and cheesey bread and definitely The Blondie or maybe the brownies! Who am I kidding all of the above and beyond! If I had one negative it would have to be the temperature inside a little warm but a small building and big ovens will do that.

I hadn’t been in in awhile so decided to give it a shot on an afternoon. I got a Gyro and a small “Detroit Style Deep Dish” pepperoni pizza. The Gyro seems to come from a Gyro kit. It was pretty good but nothing great. I’d say the same for the Pizza. It is not Detroit Style, it’s just a deep dish pizza. It has a very doughy crust. They use a a very sweet sauce (which I don’t care for but I won’t fault them for that since it seems to be a thing). The cheese and pepperoni seemed good quality and overall it’s a good pizza if you like lots of sweet sauce. In my experience, the staff is always nice and the place has always been clean. I defiantly recommend giving it a try.
