Staying @ the Origin, Wyndham & decided to stop by the restaurant bar since the hotel does not have room service or microwaves in the rooms. Ordered the flatbread pizza and had a nice conversation with the bartender.

I need to preface this with a disclaimer that I do not fault the staff, they are very obviously doing their best. My problems are with the management who very clearly are trying to cut costs to the detriment of the dining experience.

I’ve gone twice so far, for dinner and for breakfast. The dinner was perfectly adequate but it was clear that they only had the one server. It was a burger and some fries and I didn’t have any complaints. It wasn’t great, it was fine.

The breakfast however, the biscuits were stale to the point of being powdery when I chewed them. The gravy was akin to a flavorless cement that somehow made the singular bite I took even drier.

I wanted to just pay for the food and leave, maybe grab something on the way to my conference, but it took at least twenty minutes and four requests for me to get the check.

Again, I need to stress that I don’t blame the staff. There’s very clearly not enough hands to go around, and there were so many people who came in after me that I understand it was hard to keep up. And they were very apologetic for the negative experience.

For what they’re charging, I’m sure management can afford to hire some more staff, but the lack of options in the immediate vicinity means they don’t need to worry about competition. But I think you’re better off doordashing fast food breakfast.

Had a very nice breakfast as a hotel guest , food was tasty and service friendly and quick , recommended if you don’t want to spend too much time finding a breakfast spot outside the hotel!

Terrible experience.
The food was overcooked, dry, and honestly disgusting. Our order was taken incorrectly, and we waited far too long to be served. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed and struggled to understand our order, which reflects poor management and staffing.
What made it worse was a homeless man inside the restaurant threatening our table and the one next to us. Management comped the other table but did not offer us any apology, discount, or acknowledgment — despite us experiencing the same situation.
It’s hard not to notice that the other table was treated differently. Our table was all Black women and one Latina. The lack of equal response was extremely disappointing.
We will not be returning.

I was highly disappointed in the service I received at the social capital bar. Mainly, from whomever the manager is, I believe his name to be Sharante Walker and a woman named Tracy. The service that I received from them was just totally appalling, and abhorrent. First off, I ordered fried pickles and 2 shots of tequila. I received the 2 shots of tequila and had to wait 45 minutes to be informed that they didn’t even have fried pickles. Then I order another shot of tequila and didn’t even receive it. Then when I’m ready to cash out and pay my tab I had to wait another hour and a half just to pay my tab and was spoken to so rudely by Tracy that i almost didn’t even want to pay it. Luckily, the waitress Brianna was so kind inspite of her manger and asked her to help check me out. The manger looked back at me and said verbatim “Bri’s right there, she got it”! “BRI”WAS BUSY dealing with atleast 30 other bar guest without any help so clearly she didn’t have IT! But I will never come to social capital again. totally unprofessional. The waiting staff has to be over worked it was only one bartender and waitress for the entire restaurant. The food looked disgusting at best, and on top of that, they really never have any selections that I wanted. No fried tomatoes no fried pickles at one point they ran out of buns for the hamburgers. I truly don’t understand how they’re still in business. And again, the managers and their customer service. Terrible. At best, and disgusting at worst.

I started coming here because it’s easy and convenient (being that it’s located next to the court house I work at) …. I been trying to give it chances since it’s new, and I like the idea of a restaurant being walking distance to where I work. While I think this a pretty decent spot, the service could be a lot better. The food is just “ok”, and it takes a long time to come out most times. It has improved since I first started coming, but the service is terrible. Every single last time that I’ve come here, there has been no present server or bartender around, forcing me to have to wait on someone to come out from wherever. The bartenders are very non-attentive, and they all have tendencies to constantly “go missing”. Everytime I’ve come , I’ve had to wait around 10-15 minutes on someone to come from the back, and it doesn’t matter who the bartender/server is. One time I even had to go to the check in desk to let them know. I think during slow periods, they’re not on alert, so they aren’t thinking of people still coming in. They serve the people that were previously there (not thinking that new people are coming in) and go on about their business until they feel the need to come back out, which is unacceptable. Really think management needs to crack down on good time and servers and bartenders monitoring the floor .

Went during lunch hour. Only had one person working it seemed. Plates were being left at the bar as the one staff member was overwhelmed.

Went with the burger because you can’t really mess that up. Extremely stale bun, small patty, only lettuce, and only spicy mustard? Fries were decent but they were rationing ketchup like England in WWII. The quality of the food did not match the atmosphere at all.

Place seems like it has potential but is struggling to meet its desired image.

After being here for about 10 times. The service gets worse and worse. I sat and watch the server pass me 3 times after giving me a menu and waited 15 minutes and decided to leave. Watching the server clean wine glasses and never looked up as I wanted her to know I’m walking out. They have changed servers almost every time I’ve been there. I’m done.

Kitchen absolutely has zero consistency whatsoever. Be prepared to wait half an hour for your food and stare at an empty bar the entire time you wait. No liquor license and Friday nights gets insanely loud and ratchet. If you’re staying in the hotel, good luck with that, and zero room service.
