Choice place for BBQ! Tried the two meat plate. Got ribs with brisket. For sides got potato salad and Mac&cheese. It also came with a cornbread that was very tasty. The brisket was cooked perfectly and yes it definitely had a smoke ring. The ribs were fall off the bone and were delicious. The potato salad was mustard based and was tangy. The Mac&cheese was creamy and smooth. Everything tasted wonderful. The staff were courteous and friendly. The decor inside was of a typical BBQ place with county and western music playing in the background. I very much enjoyed my visit here and the food!

First time trying this little spot out and it did not disappoint! Immediately when you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome and the aroma of smoked meats! So good! Portions are generous. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it came with drink and side, ending up taking 1/2 home. Service is great, they’re attentive and helpful.

The first thing I noticed walking in was that amazing smell and how clean this place is. The AC is at the perfect temperature as well. Good music and the staff is beyond courteous, polite, and respectful. Rick and his guys made my very first visit an exceptional one. The food is on point and perfectly cooked. The cornbread tasted like it just came out of the oven. I will definitely be returning soon. When I notate down below how much I spent per person don’t be alarmed. I wanted to try a little bit of everything and then some.. I bought enough food for three people. But I’m 6’3” 200 lbs and i love bbq.

I got 1 smoked cheddar jalapeño sausage(looks over 1 pound easy), two sides of tortillas(6 total) ,side of cilantro, salsa with lemons. It was enough for 6 tacos but I ate one before the picture. The Mack n cheese was on point, creamy, cheesy and delicious.The cilantro was fresh, the salsa was tasty, spicy, enjoyable and not overpowering on the other flavors. The lunch specials are $12.99 Wednesday -Friday. Highly recommend the sausage tacos and the sweet tea!

We finally got a chance to eat here and my expectations were high. They did not disappoint. The beef short ribs were absolute perfection. I also really enjoyed my brisket baked potato. I had about half of it left over. They have beef tallow french fries as well. We didn’t have any room for dessert, but have leftovers for later.

I have no doubts they’re going to land on Texas Monthly’s best bbq in the state.
Best bbq I’ve had in the RGV, and outclassed most bbq in Central Texas I’ve sampled (including Franklin’s). We had the chicken, moist brisket, both sausage options, Mac and cheese, potato salad (mustard base), green beans, and Cole slaw. Idk what they put in the corn bread but it was phenomenal. No notes. Will absolutely be a repeat customer.

As a certified big back, I do NOT play about my food and this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, they greeted us so warmly and gave us amazing service the entire time — and even told us bye on the way out. The meat was by far the best I’ve had in the valley. So tender. So juicy. Actual tenderism!!! I will absolutely be back.

Rick gave an outstanding customer service, made me feel welcomed, made sure I was having a good time and everything I needed. The smoke shop lowkey reminded me of the biker bar from Wild Hogs, amazing food, the meat was soft and juicy, the mac & cheese deliciously cheesy, fries i believe were tasty and fresh, the corn bread was a nice touch, 10/10

Their pull pork, very moist brisket and their chicken .
I loved that the meat was not overly cooked and delicious and very moist brisket. I don’t like the meat to have a strong taste of smoke. This was perfect.
