Stopped into Old Neighborhood Grill for a classic diner-style meal and it felt like a true local spot—nothing fancy, just warm and comfortable. The menu is big enough that everyone can find something, and the food comes out hot and filling. I went with a comfort-food plate and it tasted homemade, not like a chain. Staff was friendly and kept things moving, but when it’s busy you might wait a bit for a table and for refills. Overall, it’s an easy place to come back to when you want a straightforward, satisfying meal.

This photo of the Tablecloth tells it all. I was so enthralled with the place I forgot to take a good photo. Order at the counter and they deliver the meal. We had NY Strip Steak. We loved it. We plan to return frequently. This is a gem! Oh! One can hold a conversation! The music was nice and low, but upbeat.

First of all, it’s close to the hospital. We came yesterday for lunch/dinner. 2 adults and a 5 year old. I had the pot roast tacos, my honey had a burger (he’s picky), and our son couldn’t decide on whether to get fish or chicken fingers. We got a child’s plat of each. He enjoyed both and had left overs. We also ordered sides of fried okra and corn fritters. Everything was delicious. Our son approves and wanted to come back. We got here before 11 am on a Sunday. They only serve breakfast on Sundays. Our son was so sad. But we got blueberry pancakes, pecan pancakes, and French toast. We’re all happy and stuffed. We’re definitely coming back here the next time we’re in town. And we have leftovers

Chicken fried steak was good. Little bit of loose sock, but good flavor tenderness and excellent crispness. Fried okra was good, as was the cole slaw. From the table, fries were good as was turkey burger. Kids enjoyed theirs. They have a very broad selection of sides. I’d definitely be back here if I lived close.

What a wonderful, local, neighborhood place! It closed briefly recently, but re-opened with the same cooks and mostly the same staff, with Rachel, the new manager having also worked there. They freshened the place up with new paint, flooring, tablecloths, chairs, but still the same family-friendly, homey feel.
They have always had the best breakfast in Fort Worth, and that is still true. Every breakfast item is stellar, so good. Their pancakes are the best, omelets, eggs, biscuits, everything. Good Community Coffee. I have not had lunch and dinner yet, but with the cooks mostly the same, I am sure it is as good as it used to be, which was outstanding.
Really, ONG is the place to go for home-cooking excellence, warm service, and a friendly, home-town feel in Fort Worth.

Look, I want this place to succeed so someone needs to say it. Worst “burger” I’ve had in years. You have to try extra hard to make them this bad.
I think it’s actually impossible to screw up a paddy made from 100% ground beef this badly. The problem is, this “burger” was premade wherever Sysco pre-prepares food, pre cooked the “burger”, painted fake grill marks on it with some liquid smoke. They popped these bad boys in the microwave and onto your plate. There is no other explanation to how terrible these things are. I’d recommend a tire from the auto repair place across the street over this.
Really no excuse and no possible way this place will make it servings food kike this. Think I’m exaggerating? Give it a try, good luck!

Upon entering we got several “looks” that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I was with my 12 year old and we were hungry and like to try new places so we stayed. We had the NY Strip Steak and like a breakfast platter. The biscuits were good however the steak was fatty and just didn’t taste good and the rest was decent. I was skeptical about ordering it but my son loves steak so we tried it. I doubt we will ever visit here again .

Great Neighborhood Grill
First time visit this morning. I went in hoping for a nice place to sit down and have breakfast. I ended up finding a cozy, pleasant and delicious diner. With cute, unique, local fifty’s decor. Our server and cooks were friendly and welcoming. The food was just as great. Awesome flapjacks. They have breakfast in the morning. Than lunch and dinner. They have all the comfort foods. And a liquor license to boot. My first visit. But more visits to come.

Me and my husband wanted to try something new and we found this cute hidden gem, the Grilled chicken club tasted so fresh not like a normal grilled taste but like a smoked outdoorsy taste to it, my husband’s chicken tenders looked and tasted homemade, the feel of the place was real old timey yet comfy and they had a lot lot of variety on the menu took us a while to decide on what to eat overall sweet people and they have a warning sign to watch your step, idk how anyone can miss it though you see it right when your approaching the ramp I usually always look downwards though so maybe just me
