Over the years, I have been a regular patron of this restaurant. However, my recent experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, the menus had smeared what appeared to be milk, and the odor was unappetizing. Additionally, the cups used for serving coffee emitted an unpleasant odor reminiscent of rotten eggs, suggesting inadequate cleaning. Despite all that the food I must acknowledge was tasty. Nevertheless, I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to this establishment.

Little storefront diner own by the same people who own George’s tavern next door (if you are in George’s Tavern, they have a window for the Bartender in George’s that will place your order toTastee Corner and delivered to you in the tavern). We had two bowls of soup, a cream of mushroom and a chicken dumpling. Our main courses were a mushroom omelet and the San Diego Chicken sandwich special (a grilled chicken breas, melted cheese, and a grilled ham steak on a croissant with lettuce and tomato); it comes with fries out onion rings. The sandwich was great. The onion rings were crisy and crunchy.

Came in today 10/22/25 like I do every week. Placed a pick up order over the phone. Was met by two servers who I’ve never seen before . Being as I PICKED MY ORDER UP I didn’t leave a big tip , but if I sit down inside and order, I always tip generously. Well today After I tipped and handed back the receipt, The two women looked at each other and started insulting me in Spanish. As if my tip wasn’t “good enough “. With all due respect, all you did was hand me a bag from the kitchen. I don’t know how you could be entitled to expect a big tip from that. I understand there’s a lot of entitlement for women servers in 2025, but this was blatant disrespect, They didn’t know that I understand Spanish. Pure ignorance. As someone who comes in once a week, I’m definitely not coming back. I don’t play that racist insulting BS. I understand that it’s BERWYN and many of the residence Here have never left the area in their lives and all they know is BERWYN, But in the real world, you don’t act entitled to receive tips for work you didn’t do. If you don’t like it, get a different job it’s that simple. Definitely not coming back here. There’s way too many restaurants that don’t have female server entitlement That would be happy to take my money. No mas .

Let me tell you how delicious the food here is a tasty corner. I did get one of the salads it was the Greek chicken salad I added green peppers and it was absolutely delicious. I usually get breakfast from here and it is such a large amount of breakfast for a good price. I usually get the veggie omelette I wish I had the pictures. Even the soup here is homemade and it is so delicious. The workers are very nice and pleasant. The owners are sweethearts. You feel like family when you dine in at this place. We have been going there for a very long time and we love it.

Honestly, I must say the breakfast that I had was great. The place is very crowded because the food is great so that’s expected. I had strawberry pancakes with scrambled eggs and green tea, but to my surprise, it came with slices of oranges. It was my first time at this place since I’m visiting Chicago, and I came across it via Google Maps searching for breakfast places near my apartment. I’m glad that I found this place.

Food cooked with flavor and huge portions. I had the gypsy skillet with chocolate chip pancakes. This place cooks with seasoning my friend had the skirt steak skillet and the steak was tender and seasoned I didn’t have to put hot sauce or ketchup on my food cause the flavor was there. This will be my new go to breakfast spot

My go to Breakfast place! Food is great, price is great, customer service great. It does get really busy and it’s pretty small but it’s worth it!

I wrote the above 5 star review 3 years ago. I’ve been coming here since 2018 I have noticed the past couple of year some prices have gone up, which is expected due to inflation. I have no issues with that. BUT the quality of food has gone down. Sometimes the coffee mugs smell like they were just wiped down with a dirty rag. One day I found a hair in my food, they apologized and did not charge me for that item. I gave it another chance because I really did love this place but today I found hair in my food for the second time and a small green piece of plastic. They again apologized and did not charge me for the contaminated items. The waitress was empathetic about the situation. I’m just sad about my experience and unfortunately won’t be returning here :/
