HMCC is an incredibly underrated restaurant. Perhaps it’s due to the golf course being a predominant feature of this site, but the Social Kitchen and Bar shouldn’t be disregarded. Why more folks haven’t visited this restaurant is unknown to me. This is at least the fifth meal I’ve had here over the course of two years, and I’m delightfully impressed by the layers of flavors in every dish. The red cabbage coleslaw adds a refreshing break from the deep fried chicken breast that is the crunchy, juicy, star of the sandwich (as it should be). Even more unexpected is the slice of pickled green tomato added in lieu of the typical pickle topping – this seemingly benign addition to the sandwich adds a burst of light vinegar to cut through the richness of the other ingredients and brings it all together. Folks should frequent this spot, as the menu changes with the season and you never know what creative culinary creations the chef will introduce.

Well this was an unexpected surprise the all new Meadows social kitchen and bar.
The food was delicious! We had the frito misto appetizer split pea soup and Greek salad with the most incredible tasting salmon. The venue is very big and beautiful staffed well. To top it off they had music with a wonderfully talented Chris Brown singer songwriter. Please give it a try you will not be disappointed.

We went to The Meadows on a Friday to see The Bookends, a favorite band of ours. We’ve been there before and it’s been ok but this time it was absolutely awful. I’ll start by saying that on our way out we saw a mouse scurrying across the hallway. Yes, a mouse! Before that, we sat for over an hour waiting to get a drink, another hour to get our food, and when we finally got our food they had my order wrong. I had to wait another 20 minutes. They were also out many items listed on their food and drink menus. But what got me most upset was that I specifically asked to be near the band when I made the reservation. Every other place we’ve been to has honored this request but not here. We were seated in a separate terrace with a bunch of kids running around where could barely hear the band. The issue was that the band was relegated to a small outside terrace for some reason, instead of the main dining room which has plenty of seating. The manager did come over to apologize for the bad service but all he could muster up was “thanks for your patience”. He tried telling us that he was “slammed” by extra guests that evening, not realizing that the extra guests were the result of the band playing that evening, which they placed outside in a small area. Needless to say, we will never be going back there. Frankly, the quality of the food is just not adequate enough to justify going on a night when there is no band. There are plenty of other venues we can go to where they treat their customers better.

I visited for a demonstration of the new menu with the Westchester Foodies group. Excellent food, fun presentations, welcoming staff and overall a relaxing and not overly formal vibe.

We live close and figure we would try Meadows The Fried calamari was very salty and fishy tasting, the brussel sprouts had to be sent back as they were not fully cooked and hard, once they came out they were tasty but again to munch salt
. The hamburgers were decent but they forgot to add the lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon. When asked they did bring them out. Only thing that was good was the entertainment.
Next time I will be up the road at the county golf course restaurant North Street Tavern

Absolutely awful. The food is terrible and the service is fair at best. The restaurant is old tired. They did nothing to improve the space since they took over the restaurant.

Food was terrible! We ordered the frito mista and it was cold and rubbery. They obviously cut corners and pre-cook and reheat before they serve. I had the Chicken Milanese and sent it back. Unwilling to eat food that is soggy and tasteless.
