I ordered the fish ceviche, and what they served was not ceviche by any stretch. It came in a red sauce—possibly Clamato—that was sweet and spicy, completely missing the lemony, citrus-cured flavor that defines ceviche. It was bizarre, almost like a seafood cocktail gone wrong.
I also ordered a limonada, and instead of real lemon juice, it tasted like it was made from powdered mix. Super artificial and disappointing.
Worse, they charged us $0.50 TWICE for to-go cups we didn’t ask for. When I questioned the charges, they removed them—only to sneak in a $1.32 “service charge” afterward. So the total went UP. No refills were ever offered, and the whole thing felt shady.
The outside still says Taqueria Jalisco, but it now goes by Mi Guitarra—that mismatch alone says a lot about the confusion going on here.
Bottom line: bad food, sketchy charges, no refills, and zero interest in returning. You’ve been warned.
Refills, questions/complaints, or add-ons — maybe, maybe not. You have to flag them down. Still maybe. A lot of standing around messing on phones.
Today one of the waiters was sleeping with his head on the table when I walked in. Got up, waited on a table then went over and put his arms and head on a stand next to the cash register like he went back to sleep. Sloppy dressed and messy hair. I’m normally not all that picky, but today’s visit challenged me.
I drive in to no cars in the lot. Thought the place was closed, no cars, no activity — and the side door I regularly use was locked. No sign explaining. Got ready to leave, but decided to try the front door. Apparently now I’m not supposed to use the side door. No explanation.
I’m handicapped, as is my housemate. The front door is NOT handicapped friendly. Was told they couldn’t open side door. Didn’t really care.
Hey, if you don’t care, I don’t care. There are plenty of other good places to eat at. Adios.
My other tacos had barley anything in em
First time goin TYPICALLY GO TO TIAS TACOS BUT DIDNT TODAY .. WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. THIS PLACE IS TRASH IDK HOW THEY ARE OPEN
My husband went through the drive-thru and ordered 10 tacos. When he went to pay, he noticed the employee had added an $8 tip to the bill without his consent. When he questioned it, she became visibly nervous and offered to give him $8 back in cash — which he accepted.
We called the restaurant to report the issue, and the manager’s response was shockingly dismissive. She simply said “okay.” When I pressed further and asked if she was fine with employees stealing from customers, she denied it happened at all — as if she personally witnessed the interaction, which she clearly didn’t.
This was a deliberate and dishonest action, followed by zero accountability from management. Completely unprofessional and unethical. If you choose to eat here, watch your receipt closely — or consider taking your business somewhere more trustworthy.
