1st time here. Great for us it just happened to be streak night, fabulous sirloin,baked potato,and salad( you make it from the sala bar) for $20.00. and it was fantastic. Looked like great choices on the menu as well, would complain about price for serving you and how great it tastes. It was also super busy so that should give ppl some kind of idea if you should give it a try. I will absolutely go back again.

I’ve eaten there once. Food was mediocre. They’ve got the worst hours of any restaurant I’ve visited. Ignore the hours listed on Google. What time do they open? What time do they close? Nobody knows. Every month it’s different. There are no consistent hours of business.

I’ve been passing by there over a year and wanted to try it out but they always closed. So today I’m off of work and decided to stop. Glad I did. It’s exactly the kind of place I’ve been looking for. I got hamburger plate with onion rings, chicken strips and cheese sticks. It was good. They use ground beef and not the frozen pattys. It has the home cook food also. Definitely will be coming there more often. I’m not from Hickory Tavern but the Cafe has that small town everyone knows everyone feel. Like you coming to your friends house to eat. Co

Awesome place, good food, good price. Literally walking distance from our house. Sizeable portions, excellent variety, especially with the hot bar. Unassuming from the outside, it truly surprises and in a good way. Definitely worth the drive if you’re further out, but we locals love to just walk there.
Highly recommend the Onion Rings, the batter is so tasty, can’t get enough, and I also like the Patty Melt, I get it often.
