I’ve eaten donuts all over the country and the Pierre Donut Shop has the best glaze and buttercream filling that I’ve ever had. They also sometimes give my kids little treats when they come in with me, which makes their day! They are generous, diligent, appreciative, and hard working. Best donut shop that I’ve been in to date. And they don’t charge you an arm and a leg for good donuts! Must stop for any donut lover coming to Pierre.

They do not guarantee their hours will be the same as what is posted coming from out of town. We paid ahead for donuts and found out when we were still an hour out that they were closing early at 11 instead of noon. They left the donuts outside under a tree For us to pick up since they were already paid for these were not the donuts that I remember years ago, they were terrible they were hard, did not taste the same, and the donut holes did not have any or hardly any buttercream in the middle very disappointed will not be back

Very friendly staff greeted us upon entry and provided each of our group of 4 a buttercream donut hole. We ordered a dozen more and a couple other donuts and drinks. What a deliciously sweet treat! We will be back.

I understand that people who grow up and live somewhere all their lives have a different view of businesses than people who are new to an area. I have heard fantastic things about The Donut Shop for the past few months so of course going is something that I have looked forward to. It definitely has a hometown business feel to it.. which is nice. I picked put 5 pastries to try. They are the 5 that are my go-to when getting a sense of how I feel about a place like this. There was only one that I was not disappointed with.. the basic glazed donut. The others were all the same.. heavy, flavorless, not worth finishing. My husband loved everything he tried. I know that we will go back from time to time.. but based on my experience I will only be getting a basic glazed donut.
