We were in town for a football game and I just googled restaurants in the area. The name Fat n Sassy BBQ sold me!! It wasn’t AT ALL what we expected, being in the back of a little market, but it was sooooo good. We got the pulled pork sandwiches, someone in my group got a breakfast sandwich and I also got the loaded hot dog (which might have been my favorite). It was a gorgeous day so the outside seating was perfect. I don’t know that we will ever be back to the area, but if we are we will ABSOLUTELY re visit the Market!

I wouldn’t call this a restaurant really, a restaurant to me is a sitdown place with a server, which is what we were looking for to stop in at on our drive home to NC. Regardless, I wasn’t disappointed in my meal at all. My hubby and I got BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, the buns appeared to be fresh homemade and yeasty like I like them! The meat was tender and juicy, personally I would have liked a bit more BBQ sauce on mine but I tend to slather my food in it more than the average BBQ-feind Hubby thought $10/sandwich was a little steep but I didn’t think so with the cost of everything today going up so much. There were several tables outside to sit and enjoy your sandwich, and a clean bathroom. I’d definitely return if I was ever in the area again.

It’s a market that only has a few tables for outside eating. Great if the weather permits or just eat in the car, or carry home. Best pulled pork barbecue I’ve ever had! Generous portions and both sauces are amazing!!

Excellent pulled pork BBQ sandwich – be sure to ask for extra sauce. 3 small tables outside so it was convenient for us traveling with a dog. We would definitely go back if we explore the mountain trails to the west.

This was the perfect lunch! We had some time to look around the store, there was so much to see! Great variety of choices too! As soon as we walked in the door the aroma was amazing! The flavors in the food we ordered were every bit as wonderful as that aroma we entered to. The service was great and very helpful with regard to options or questions we might have as we looked around! We will definitely be making this a regular visit every chance we have for lunch out! Don’t miss out!
