Great atmosphere but for the price I would have expected a bit more. Really fun setting, waitress was excellent. Hostess was not overly happy to be there. If you were looking for the washroom she wouldn’t look up from her phone to help you. Waitress however was extremely attentive, friendly and cheerful. Food was ok but not worth the price. “Freezer fries” is how my husband described the fries. My fish tacos were tasty but they were so overloaded with a heavy sauce it just wasn’t well balanced. The key here – it didn’t leave us wanting more in a place where there is a lot of choice. Kudos to the waitress though. Great hire there – she deserved 5 stars.

We had a wonderful experience tonight! Bonbon was an awesome server, gave wonderful recommendations, and the food was hot and fresh. Prices had gone up quite a bit, so price was only reason we gave it a 4. Great drinks, no room for dessert!

This restaurant was conveniently located across the street from PCB Pier so we decided to give it a try and it was pretty good! I ordered the grouper with the twice baked potato and we also ordered the loaded nachos appetizers. My grouper was very crispy and tasty and my salad and potatoes were great as well! The appetizer was just meh-not the best, not the worst. The service was quick and efficient. Great location for a quick meal for main course!

I had the taste of the islands. The gumbo was amazing, some of the best I have had! Coconut shrimp was large, crispy, and well seasoned. Mango sauce added a nice touch of flavor. Great service. It was a large portion size for lunch for an incredible value. Atmospere had nice views and plenty of sunlight. I plan on returning again.

Loved this place!! The food was good the service was good! We went in the winter season but the vibe of the place was still good! I got the fish and chips lunch combo for 18.99$ it came in a pretty quick amount if time. I think we waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. Our server was very attentive but not overbearing. The prices are very reasonable. I would 10/10 go again!

Pompano Joe’s is treated like a “must-visit” destination, but I honestly don’t get the hype. The menu is overpriced and feels like a gamble — spend big and hope you get something worth eating. I wasn’t willing to roll those dice, so I went with a simple fish sandwich. Big mistake. For what they charged, I expected something memorable, but what I got could’ve come from a fast-food drive-thru.

It’s almost like you’re paying more for the name on the sign and the Instagram photo than the food on the plate. For all the hype, the flavors just didn’t show up.

Overall: An expensive lesson in marketing over quality. The fish sandwich was forgettable, but the price tag sure wasn’t.

Great local seafood at Pompano Joe’s! Very nice menu selection for all appetites. Shrimp Po Boy has so many shrimp you cannot close the bun. Portions were great. Food was excellent. Service was very fast and friendly.

We decided to stop in for an early dinner on our way to the movies. The restaurant had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We were sat immediately and ordered drinks and apps. The staff was very kind, helpful, and attentive. They refilled our drinks without us having to ask. The menu had a good selection of dishes to choose from. I felt like the side dishes for the entrees was a little limited.

We decided on the following:
Fish Gumbo: The gumbo was full of various fish and was very flavorful. It wasn’t terribly spicy and had a nice depth of flavor. The only negative I can say about the dish is that the cup was one third to one half full of rice. There was no mention of rice in the description, so it was a bit of a let down.
Calamari: The calamari was hand-breaded and cooked pretty well. The portion was pretty generous too. The marinara and other dipping sauce was nice.
Crabcake Sandwich: Let me start off by saying…My family is from the Maryland area. We are used to crab cakes with very few fillers and jumbo lump blue crab meat. These crabcakes weren’t that, so it was a bit of a let down. They also contained bits of chopped sweet peppers which made them taste a little odd. If you’re used to Maryland crabcakes, I would avoid these altogether.
Crabcake Dinner with Twice Baked Potato and Black Beans and Rice: Again, the crabcakes were a let down. The twice baked potato was very good. It was moist and cheesy. The rice and black beans were very flavorful as well.
Sea Scallops Dinner with Twice Baked Potato and Black Beans and Rice: Let me start off by saying…OMG! My plate arrived with 12 huge scallops! They were cooked perfectly and were sweet and succulent. The only negative was that I didn’t care for the seasoning they used when broiling the scallops. Next time, I will try them chargrilled with less seasoning.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be putting this restaurant on our list of places to visit when we’re back in the area. If you stop by and love scallops, I definitely recommend them.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch today and had a blast. Mickayla was our server and she was awesome. She answered all our questions regarding the menu and was spot on with her service.
My wife had the grouper Rueben and I had fried shrimp. Both were perfectly cooked and fresh.
Highly recommended.

Jessica R was an amazing server. Very attentive, funny, and knowledgeable. Food came out super fast. The spiked lemonade was delicious and very sneaky…taste exactly like juice. I’m from Georgia, but I will definitely come back in the near future. Thanks Jessica!
