My husband and I dine here at least 2–3 times a month, and it never disappoints. We’ve eaten at Balkan restaurants all over New York, New Jersey, and across the country—and this is, without question, the best of them all.
The ćevapi, burek, and embelsira are unmatched. Every dish is consistently perfect. I choose this restaurant every single time.

Our first time experiencing Slavic cuisine and while we weren’t disappointed at all, we would have to say the food needed a bit more seasoning for our taste. The small 5pcs Cevapi “Beef Kabobs” were good and the portions were great for the price. Also if you’re thinking about ordering the “Cabbage Salad” please note: It’s just shredded white cabbage with vinegar and nothing else. We did appreciate our server for explaining the menu to us and being attentive. We will certainly be back for more of the Burek too which was also good.

I recently visited Balkan Café and really enjoyed the experience overall. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the atmosphere inside can get quite loud, as many diners are very lively. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing spot, this may not be the best choice,but if you don’t mind some noise and want great food with warm service, it’s definitely worth a visit.

These kind people cooked up my brother and I a feast 10 mins before closing. The flavor of the kebab (bread and meat) were sublime. I had to take some with me to lunch the next day. Their work is worth your time and money.
