Do not use my opinion wholly, ive been here only once. I ordered the fettuchini shrimp an it wasnt that great. You only get 6 shrimp an the white sauce really just tasted like water. An the cost, psh, around 17$. But i ordered the cheese cake (strawberry) sweet lord!!! It was so good! Never had a better cheese cake in my life! The sweet tea…they leave the ice in the pitcher so its kinda watered down not that great either. But if you make stacks an want to be braggy this is where youd go. The scenery is amazing as well. Refer to pictures ive posted.

The Carriage House is a really great place to dine. The food was excellent, the service devine and I’m not kidding. I don’t do 5 stars but I honestly did not experience anything negative. The were 20 in the party I was with and we all agreed this was an outstanding place to go for a meal.
The server was a treat. In the short 90 minutes or so she won us all over. There was some mix up on the service but that came from the kitchen and with the servers help we worked that out without a hitch.
The physical setting is about 25 minutes south of Macon at a crossroads called Henderson. The restaurant itself is a repurposed 19 th or early 20 th century plantation style house. You may be seated in one of the old rooms but I really enjoyed the back open area which I’d like a BIG glassed in veranda.
I strongly suggest reservations, but it’s not necessary. They’re only open 3 or 4 days a week so call ahead. The results will be worth the logistical efforts.

I was pleased with this place! Our server was great, we went on the all you can eat catfish and shrimp night. We didn’t have to wait long for our food refills. I thought everything tasted great, the grilled shrimp was flavorful, and I liked the breading of the fried shrimp. I only gave it 4 stars because my husband wasn’t pleased with the catfish fillets, he felt like the catfish and fried shrimp had no flavor. Like I said, I was pleased with everything, my husband not so much. Side note- the Google maps tells you to turn onto S. Langston Rd. at the 4 way, turn right but not into S. Langston Rd, keep going and you will see the sign for the Carriage House Restuarant and that will. Ring you to the parking lot. S. Langston Rd does not bring you to the parking lot.

The food was awful! My husband and parents went and no one liked the food. My parents had been before. They thought that they would try it again since the food was not good the last time they went thought maybe it was just a bad choice of food selection. WRONG!!! It was the choice of food they just have bad food. They chose the Prim rib this time. It was tough and had no taste. They all choose it from medium rare too medium and rare all of it was the same. I got the fried shrimp not the best I have ever had. We had baked potatoes and they were still hard and not baked completely. Want go back and want recommend it. Beautiful place but that’s all it has going for it.

Holy cow was I disappointed in the food. The house is absolutely beautiful but the food was really bad. Vegetables not cooked all the way through, my steak was a 14 oz prime rib that may have been 7 or 8 oz and it sucked. Their fried shrimp was good but that’s not enough for us to ever go back. Honestly I hoping this was just an off night but after a poll at work, all locals, only 2 of 17 said it was any good. Everyone else said the same thing. Stay away.

Excellent Dining in Middle Georgia!
This is one of the best restaurants in the area! They have a diverse menu, with fish, steaks, chicken, etc. My favorite is their Prime Rib! Cooked superbly and extremely tasty! They also have all you can eat catfish one day a week and have daily specials. You can’t go wrong, just stop in and order whatever you fancy. You’ll like it!

The Carriage House is truly a hidden gem! We’ve been coming to the area for years and never knew it was there. So glad we found it! The food was perfectly cooked: chicken grilled to perfection and so moist! The seafood was equally delicious. I *never* thought I’d feel the need to mention my opinion of a baked sweet potato, but the sweet potato side I ordered was by far the best sweet potato I’ve had in my life! It’s not just any sweet potato, it’s so much more. Get it. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. It’s not too fancy, but can be if you want to dress up. As a mom, I wouldn’t consider this is the best place to bring kids. I highly recommend this place to any couple looking for a special night together.

Very nice place, service was great! We were there for All you can eat catfish and shrimp. I love catfish but the coating was just okay. The first fish I got was small, but the grilled shrimp were good. I had at least 12 of them the first time and just the 1 fish. Waiter was wonderful about checking to see if we wanted more, so instead of the whole fish I tried a filet and it was better even though it had the same coating. I much prefer the old regular type of coating you normally see at catfish houses of corn mill. But we’ll definitely go back. Nothing better than prime rib and o definitely want to give it a try.

I was a little disappointed. Beautiful setting,friendly staff but the food was not as good as I assumed it would be. I was also expecting superior service as it was during the Henderson village times. Our drinks were empty and we had to wait and actually stop and ask for another, dishes were not prebussed so we were sitting with empty drink glasses and dishes during the dinner.
It was just not the relaxing, enjoyable dinner I was expecting from the location.
