This is hands down the best arepa I’ve had in California!! It really took me back home in one bite! I definitely recommend the arepa pabellón if you like shredded beef black beans and plantains the three sauces offered were amazing especially the creamy green one! Perfection ✨

Despite having a stand inside SAP for several years, I never really bothered ordering anything because arena prices can be a bit high.. One of the guys handed out some free samples that just had cheese and was really impressed with the texture and flavor of the arepa shell.. Ended up ordering my very first arepa from Pana just the other night.

Great promo as they just soft opened up their location inside the Downtown Food Hall, and ended up wanting to grab more on my way to another hockey game. Absolutely delicious.. try out the limeade as well. Very refreshing and fresh tasting.

Tried this new location today after usually going to Santa Cruz and it was delicious! The food was fantastic and had so much flavor! I love that they happen to be 100% gluten free and have so many vegetarian and vegan options. The food is so good you won’t be let down eating here.

Delicioso! Finally got to try an arepa Venezolana Thank you to German, who explained all the options, he was on point These arepas are big, super filling and loaded with flavor. I had it with a side of garlic sauce and a slice of Quesillo (Venezuelan flan). 10/10

We first tried these Arepas in Santa Cruz and the first bite exploded with flavor! You know the food is good when you’re willing to drive over highway 17 again the next day for more.

Now we have a Pana in San jose, and the food is bursting with the same flavor as the Santa Cruz location. Had to order another arepa to go after I finished my first one.

Gave cold blocks of cheese in an arepa which was supposed to have shredded chicken and 3 other ingredients. Run away from this place. Do not go here

I’ve had arepas at Pana’s food truck in Santa Cruz, so was happy to see this available when walking thru downtown San Jose. Unfortunately my pabellon arepa was super disappointing. The cheese had been shoved to the bottom of the sandwich and had not melted at all. I didn’t even realize there was cheese until getting to the end of the arepa! The bread was not cooked/toasted through and cold and chewy. The meat was a huge chunk that was hard to separate without any utensils. The plantains were dried out. I went in the middle of a Saturday afternoon where the food hall was totally quiet and waited 15 minutes, so not sure why this couldn’t have been heated/cooked properly.

Points for not being a messy sandwich, at least. Sometimes they’re too oily/juicy from the meat or too much sauce. That wasn’t the case here, at least.

Looks like they’re new to the location so hopefully they’ll iron out the kinks soon, but that was a very meh, unsatisfying meal.

First time having Arepas! Delicious, fresh and good portion. Can’t wait to visit the Santa Cruz location. Highly recommend.
