We ordered the Kalua pork with cabbage. It surprisingly wasn’t bad, especially for a chain, and especially because I don’t typically like Kalua pork because it tends to be dry. But that wasn’t the case here. I was iffy about it because of all the bad reviews but I’m glad I tried it. I also liked their mac salad. They have a lot of menu items so I wouldn’t mind coming back and trying something else – probably the loco moco, garlic chicken, and/or saimin.

I’m a big fan of Hawaiian Barbecue, but in this case I was disappointed. I grew up in California, and we also have L&L, Ohana bbq and other Hawaiian Barbecue food places, this is the second place I try it in Hawaii, and it didn’t meet my expectations. I get the same dish every time, but this second time didn’t taste good as well. If you’re in Los Angeles, Pico Rivera to be exact, you must try L&L there, you will taste the big difference.

Local favorite! The majority of people take out here, so if you wanted to dine in, it wouldn’t be a problem. They have a handful of booths. They’re pretty efficient with getting your takeout stuff to go. Walk in, place order, and a few minutes later, you are good to go! They have many local favorites. Food is consistent and the Lau Lau is delicious! My favorite plate is the Lau Lau plate which comes with rice, macaroni salad, and Lau Lau.

If you go to this place, speak loudly and clearly and get and check your receipt. I asked for a regular size short rib plate. Paid $23.78 which included a 15% tip. I got a “regular SIDE of short ribs”. Doesn’t a “side” of anything generally cost LESS than the plate itself?
I didn’t ask for the receipt and now regret it. I don’t want to deal with this place ever again. Don’t bother reaching out to me.

I ordered BBQ mix with Beef curry. the hamburger with gravy and bbq beef was good, but the Beef in the curry was so hard it was like they just put it in 20 minutes before serving it. the portion size was good. price was $13.50 plus tax

The food is always hot and tasty, and they always give you a ton of food. It makes up for it being a little pricier than other places as this is easily two meals! My only wish is that they would update the place and clean up a bit. With Covid going on they’ve left boxes stacked to the ceiling and the signs are outdated and taped to the walls. Time for a remodel. Still, I’d be back for the food

went here to pick up dinner employee was ringing up my order i went to take my wallet out I realized I forgot it in my car. I told the employee I will be right back i forgot my wallet in the car he rips out the receipt with attitude from the register and tells me whatever I told him I will be right back again he tells me whatever main thing you get money on your card to pay or do you have money to pay i told him I will be right back again he tells me whatever with ATTITUDE!!

Service is friendly and reasonably quick. Food is good, not amazing, but it’s a good price and you get a big plate. We had chicken katsu and combo plate with beef curry this time.

Love this place for a Kalua pork plate. Large portion is great for leftovers. Unfortunately, I’ll go to a different location. They couldn’t understand when I said I wanted two plates and delivered only one then told me they won’t redeliver because it doesn’t meet their fee to deliver as I only needed the one plate I was shorted. Bad way to do business.
