John’s Burgers in Kiel is the most authenthic american restaurant that I have seen in Germany. The food is always fresh, the meat is not frozen and very tasty, with lots of variety, like buffalo fried chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken wings, ribs, etc.
Even for american standards the food is really great (even superior) and everyone is very friendly.

OMG the worst Restaurant I have been to in Kiel so far. It’s Expensive and the food Is awful. When you look at the photos I’ve taken, the meat is still raw in the burger, see the photos. The two menu’s cost 27 euro, served in a little plastic basket and I was still hungry when I left. The seats are hard wood and uncomfortable. The service isn’t good either, they are very unfriendly there. I won’t go there again, even if you paid me.

What a gem of a burger place in northern Germany. As a former NY’er, seeing the Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich on the menu was a sight for sore eyes… And yes it was delicious! Would highly recommend making the stop at John’s Burgers if your in the area.

Nice burger! Serving was big for one so price is very reasonable. Most of the burgers come with beef patty. We ordered the pull pork one and it was delicious. Only downside is that it was a little too salty. The sweet potato fries were well done – crispy and flavourful! As the area is quite small, it’s not suitable for huge groups

Really boring burgers. You’d expect there to be something special about the food given the name, history, and branding — but there isn’t.
The BLT was really sad: two slices of tomato, two pieces of lettuce, and six huge, burnt pieces of bacon. The bun was dry and tasteless. No mayo, no butter — nothing to compensate for the stale bread. When you call something “The Original BLT,” then make sure you know what you’re doing and deliver something special.
The burger meat had zero seasoning. It honestly tasted like something you could make yourself with some minced meat from the supermarket at a fraction of the cost. The bun was also very plain — actually kind of chewy and hard to bite through.
Just a really mediocre experience overall. The staff was nice, though — but unfortunately, the food was not.

Tasty! The beef-pork patty doesn’t disappoint when it comes to flavour, although I thought it was a tad on the dry side… Counteracted this with mayonnaise! Homemade bacon and spicy grilled peppers toppings are great, smoked cheese a little too mild. The normal fries are average, but get the sweet potato fries instead! All in all, a good effort – good service, quality and price!
