We had a great experience… took it Togo but they had a small amount of inside dining. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. They came with plenty of rice which paired with the sauces. The naan was warm and fresh, and the samosa chaat that was recommended by one of the employees was a wonderful choice. It was a large portion and had a great mix of textures and flavors. Everything tasted great and well prepared. We will definitely be back.

See my pics. The food was amazing and tasty. We got through Door Dash so I can’t indicate feeling for that. One thing I do want to point out is the portion size. I’m not sure if it’s different if you eat in, but holy cow. It was a lot. If you have 2 people I would suggest 1 rice, 2 main (we got chicken curry, and 2 Naan. I’m pretty sure curry was a pint container and completely full. They also wrap both rice and curry containers in plastic wrap in case of leaks.

I don’t know if this place changed ownership during the month it was closed down in January 2026, but the recipe of the curries I normally order here seemed completely different yesterday; the saag paneer was almost like eating creamed baby food spinach and had almost no seasonings or spiciness to it. The chicken vindaloo recipe was also very tamed down and just seemed like a completely different concoction. The price of the lunch special went up by $4, which I’d be ok with if the quality had remained as good. Very sad my favorite local spot has changed so much- I’ll update if I risk trying again and it was just a fluke

Stopped in to order take out tonight and am so glad I did! Ordered the veggie pakora, vegetable biryani, garlic naan, and Chicken Makhani. It was so carefully packaged (each container was also wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent spills) and the portions were extremely generous. The box for the pakora couldn’t even close because it was so full! Everything was delicious – just the right amount of spice and the curry was rich and flavorful. The pakora and garlic naan were great, and the sauces for dipping tasted fresh and bright. I am so excited this place is near me so I can try more of the menu! They were only open for takeaway but said the dining room opens next week (late Feb/early March).

Just had an amazing experience at Dawat! The paneer bhurji was flavorful and perfectly spiced, and the shahi paneer was rich and creamy—absolutely delicious. Hats off to the chef for these incredible dishes! Will definitely be back for more.

My family and I once got really bad diarrhea because of the food from this restaurant. I don’t even remember how many times I went to the restroom the whole day and all night. I thought I had very strong stomach because I never got problem with any kind of food, but got food poisoning from this place after a very long time. I am never going back to this place. They are lucky I am not suing them.

Great food loaded with flavor. I could not eat it all as the chicken makhani dish I ordered came with a huge bowl of rice that could easily feed 2 or possibly 3 people. The garlic naan was the perfect compliment to this dish. This was my first time dining here so I don’t know anything about the other dishes served here, but I highly recomment the Chicken Makhani and garlic naan.

Overall, I got a very nice plate of food. I ordered the lunch special and got 2 entrees, a butter naan and a soda for $13.99. The food was delicious and plentiful and more than enough to satisfy my appetite. The only slight downside was that the naan bread was slightly overcooked and that is the only reason why I can’t give 5 stars for the food. But overall very impressive.
