We took our whole family (six people) out for breakfast this morning and it was fantastic. We were seated immediately, the service was quick and friendly, the food arrived quickly, the prices were reasonable, and everything tasted delicious.

Very good overall diner experience! Large restaurant with plenty of parking. Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm and there was still a 5-10 min wait… popular place! Lots of people coming in and out. Hostess did a nice job getting us seated. Menu is huge and there’s daily specials. So many options! Food was delicious, portions were large and prices were reasonable. Homemade muffins! (the muffins were actually a little under-baked… but hopefully better next time). Been looking for a go-to diner after mountain biking Rocky Ridge and we’ll definitely be back!

My parents and I eat here often. The food is really good and you get a lot! I get the cold turkey sandwich from time to time, and it’s real turkey, not deli turkey! It tastes good! The staff is very helpful and friendly. I recommend Stonybrook Restaurant!!

They open early, but we didn’t get there until late breakfast. Food was excellent and the waitress kept our coffee cups filled. They had scrapple as a side. The scrapple serving could have been bigger, but overall I was satisfied. I had biscuits with sausage gravy, home fries, & scrapple. I took home some apple pie . Apple dumplings would have been nice, but okay I really loved the atmosphere. The place was alive and bustling, but calm. I thought the prices were reasonable.

Muffet Deisher

We have been here at different times from breakfast to dinner. The food had always been excellent. Had a hot roast beef sandwich the last time I was there. It was delicious. They use real roast beef not sliced sandwich meat like other places do. My sister has a side salad that was the larger than any of the other to restaurants we frequent.
Love their breakfasts too.
Good food, good prices, good amount of food, and great service.
We make it a point to eat here every time we come east.

I’m curious as to what they added to the seafood Newburgh to make it orange. It definitely wasn’t old bay which probably would have been an improvement. Wasn’t expecting salad shrimp in it and I did expect more than a sliver of a scallop, if it was scallop at all. The rice was just gross. Chicken Parmesan sandwich is a chicken patty instead of a fried chicken breast, as one expects with chicken parm sandwiches. They toasted the bread but somehow the bread was floppy and soggy instead of crisp? How does that happen? Chef was asking the waitress questions about cooking when it’s his job to cook and hers to serve. Can’t imagine that’s a good sign. I’m not sure if this place has good reviews bc old folks have low standards and the place was full of seniors or if York is just a bad place for food and folks here just don’t know it. I haven’t had a good meal in this town yet. The bathroom was spotless and they were kind enough to take the sandwich off the bill as it was inedible. I did appreciate that. Also our waitress was very kind so they get stars for that but I’d rather have bad service with amazing food than vice versa.

This is a gem of a restaurant in York, PA. It is clean and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. The menu has something for everyone. Prices are reasonable. Unlike most diners you can order a beer or wine to accompany your tasty meal. The restaurant has plenty of off street parking. While visiting York, I ate at Stonybrook Family Restaurant two night in a row. Both experiences were amazing!

A great meal would have liked a bigger coffee cup but service was so good it never went empty. Pancakes were great with a slight crisp on the edges. Omelet cooked with butter I think because of the flavor.

Judy Dixie Bowser

Sweet potato soup, roasted chicken on a bed of stuffing with gravy, steak fries and pickled beets for around $14. They also have PA wine and beer. Perfect food, excellent service.
