We ordered Upma, Medu Vada, and Mysore Bonda. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
The Upma was extremely oily. The Medu Vada lacked salt and flavor, and it was also overly oily. Additionally, the oil seemed to have been reused multiple times as it had an unpleasant smell.
The Mysore Bonda was average in taste, but unfortunately we found a hair in one of the pieces
Overall, the quality of the food and attention to hygiene were not up to expectations.

I tried both the Gobi Chilli Fry and Mushroom Biryani, and the food was absolutely amazing!
The gobi had a perfect crunch, and you could really taste the freshness in every bite. The Mushroom Biryani was equally delicious—flavorful, aromatic, and freshly prepared.
Everything was pure veg, freshly made, and served with great taste.
Definitely one of the best food truck experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended!

Excellent vegetarian fare served with a true homely touch. Right from breakfast items (idli/vada/rave idli/upma/dosa) to curries, biryani and even a bit of Indo-Chinese. Over the course of 2 weeks we tried everything but the appetizers & it was all good. The noodles & gobi manchurian was really tasty & fresh. All in all a place worth visiting…again and again…

A great new vegetarian joint right in our neighborhood! Reasonably priced! Great hours including breakfast time 8:30 am for the idly/vada/dosa breakfast folks. Tried their indo/chinese, North Indian and south India and Jain dishes! Amazing taste. Fresh tasting ( since they make it fresh including vadas and pakoras!) sambhar both Jain and non Jain were amazing! Gobi Manchurian was the best I have tasted in the US. Crispy and perfectly seasoned. If you are in Round Rock or visiting here , do stop by! The folks are very courteous! Met with Mahalakshmi herself and she is great, friendly courteous, patient and accommodating for our requests!

They claim good South Indian, but honestly there are way good South Indian restaurants and food truck in Austin area.
Idlees were hard and didn’t look good nor taste good and sides were okay only.
They said mushroom biriyani, but just gave mushroom gravy not well mixed in sona masoori rice . Taste also okiesh only.

Mahalakshmi’s food has been an all-time favorite for people who enjoy Indian vegetarian cuisine. Their filter coffee is delicious . The Round Rock location was pretty good. We ordered some food, which was delivered promptly, and the quality was excellent. The prices are reasonable and not overly expensive. If you’re looking for casual Indian vegetarian food, I recommend this place.

We decided to finally try this place after our friend kept saying that in her neighborhood everyone was raving about it! Honestly, they weren’t kidding at all the food is amazing. It’s a small food truck that just opened a few weeks ago, with a good variety of South Indian vegetarian options. We decided to split the breakfast special and it was totally worth it! A lot of food for two people we had leftovers to take back.
My personal favorite was the puri and dosa. Sambar and filter coffee were also good.
Definitely recommend checking them out! The owner is sweetest! So glad to have something so close by like this now.
