The most deliciously seasoned carne asada. We tried a carne asada taco and California burrito – amazing! Probably the best flavored carne asada meat in town. We can around 10:30am on a Wednesday and found a front row parking spot. The restaurant is very close to the water – cool vibes and nice area to grab some food then walk around. Will definitely be back.

The food here was delicious, especially the California burrito! Make sure to ask for the chipotle sauce and add it to the California burrito for an even better taste. The steak fries were good too and the quesadilla as well. The service was fast and on time and the customer service was great.

Hole in the wall. Crazy busy but an enjoyable, funky experience. Tried a Battered Fish Taco and the Trifecta Taco. Both were wonderful, and I generally don’t care for Mexican food. Be prepared for a waiting line. Very limited seating. Loved it!

Me and my boyfriend stopped by Mike’s Taco Club and it honestly exceeded our expectations. It’s our new favorite spot. The Cali Burrito was soooo good perfectly seasoned carne asada, crispy fries, and everything was fresh. We shared it and both kept saying how GOOD it was.
We also tried the horchata, and it was one of the best we’ve had. Super smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. It paired perfectly with the food, especially being right next to the beach.
The service was quick, the vibe was chill, and the food tasted amazing. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Steak taco ($6.49) Spicy Shrimp ($6.99)
I liked the steak more because it had a bit more flavor. I don’t really see the hype. It’s pretty solid but not something that memorable and definitely not the best value, I will say I my stomach reacted/ hurt a bit after eating and into the next morning…. Also the girl with Red and Black hair was fairly unpleasant in nature, I had to go back for the sauce and fork request because that’s something you have to ask for which was annoying. Understandable with all the homeless. The food score is honest though, I would suggest trying others on the street I’m sure they are legit too

Absolutely the best quesadilla, carne asada tacos, California burrito & carne asada fries EVER. We absolutely love to come down here and enjoy the ob vibe and THIS taco shop. You won’t regret coming here. Also they have really tasty margaritas DONT FORGET THE CHIPOTLE SAUCE…its good on everything.

I stopped by by chance and said let’s try it. Was a great wonderful surprise. Had the grill fish tacos and they were amazing. Fresh cooked perfect and all the toppings added to make it perfect.

Mike’s Taco Club just makes a great Cali Burrito, plain and simple. Loaded, satisfying, and exactly what I wanted after walking around Ocean Beach. The carne asada, the fries, the sauce — everything comes together perfectly. It’s not overhyped, it’s just done right.
I like spots like this because they feel real: quick, friendly, and consistent every time I go. Classic OB energy with good food to match.
If you’re in the area, the Cali Burrito is the move. I’ll definitely be back.
