Went to the one in Lee Summit and it was worth the drive. About 40 mins hoping it was not going to be a waste of time. Excellent food, enormous portions and did not leave hungry. Laid back atmosphere, very comfortable. Definitely a go to place.

This was our first time visiting Jumpin Catfish Restaurant, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We came for the all-you-can-eat crab legs, and they did not disappoint—fresh, flavorful, and served hot every time we requested more. One thing we especially loved was how they brought out complimentary sides of hush puppies, coleslaw, and beans as soon as we sat down. It was such a nice touch and made the meal feel welcoming from the start. The atmosphere was comfortable and family-friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our visit. Our server checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, especially with the crab leg refills. Overall, we were very impressed with our first visit to Jumpin Catfish Restaurant. Great food, great service, and a warm, inviting experience—we’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.

Everyone was very quick to help us. I enjoyed the taxidermy and fish. The all you can eat menu is wonderful, and the waitress was always close to make sure if you needed anything they’d be there. Wonderful place, definitely worth the drive.

I forgot to take a picture of our actual meal before digging in, but did get a pic of the complementary sides you get when you get sat down. They’re not terrible, beans could use a little more flavor cornbread was pretty good and the coleslaw was super fine and kinda sweet. I enjoyed the grilled tilapia and quail legs but did not like the rest of the quail weird I know! I also didn’t care for the boiled shrimp, it was mushy and had NO flavor! My husband had the fried duck, quail, & frog legs, he only liked the frog legs. Tastes like chicken! Yum! We might try it again but definitely will order something different.

I grew up thinking this was a fancy restaurant my parents would always go to. Never was I allowed to step foot in here as I was a mere peasant. This may not be a fancy like spend thousands of dollars restaurant, however in my mind it will always be a very nice restaurant. I was blessed by my mother with just a snippet of catfish and a hushpuppy on my 6th birthday, and it was very good. Holds a special place in my ear.

In the mood for some catfish, found this in Olathe, KS. About 3:30pm, before the dinner rush, restuarant is located at the end of a strip mall. Inside is an over abundance of animal head decor, not many fish though…. Seated right away, very polite staff. We were offered a generous bowl of coleslaw, white beans and a basket of hush puppies before we ordered our drinks. I’m not a fan of coleslaw, my wife said its okay. White beans were pretty good, and the hush puppies were a bit dry to the taste (we requested some tartar sauce with them). We ordered four catfish filets with mashed potatoes and white gravy to split, no (extra) appetizer. The salad bar did not seem appealing. Overall good service, animal decor seems over board, food could be seasoned better. It is unlikely we would revisit again, even if we were in the area again.

We were in town for a sporting event and had this place recommended to us. It definitely didn’t disappoint. My wife had fried oysters and I had fried crawfish tails. Both were delicious. Our server was fast and friendly and seemed to really enjoy her job. She had a great attitude. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Recently there and had been before but had been awhile.the lady server was as gruff and unfriendly as they come.older lady ….order was taken and the table food came which was the best part of the meal.love the slaw and beans.hushpuppies were all cold .all of orders but one had mashed potatoes and each one there were cold.the baked potatoes were good. But brought out wrong food on one order.and shorted on another. Some of the fried things were overcooked .For the prices we paid we expected better. I doubt we go back

The best food, lemon peppered catfish w a well baked potato, Cole slaw, ham & beans, hot hush puppies. The fried catfish with mashed potatoes and gravy is also wonderful. Salmon and the salad bar is a great choice too.
Staff is attentive and love to smile, so you smile too and the day is better.
Containers are provided to take home the leftovers. $30 for two includes tip but we do drink water.
