I came here at the suggestion of one of my co-workers in Dallas. I’m originally from El Paso, but haven’t been back in a few years. I was seated right away, but waited for a good while to be served. It was only until I was about to get up and leave when I was asked had I been served yet. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and chicken gorditas (al-a-carte). The chicken was dry and the sides (beans and rice) were pretty bland. I don’t see what the hype is but I definitely won’t be going back on my own dime.

My coworkers and I bought tickets for a fundraiser. The tickets can only be used for one week and during lunch hours. The tickets were only for enchiladas. All rules were understood and that was not the issue. The issue was the food. The enchiladas were terrible, zero seasoning, zero salt, zero taste. To top it off i got heartburn from the enchiladas (I never get heartburn). The beans were also terrible. The rice was ok. I dont recommend this place and will never go back. Literally the worst enchiladas I have ever had. My coworkers agree.

The lunch box has been a personal favorite of mine for over 2 decades. I love the authentic flavor of the gorditas. They have three and i was fortunate to have tried them all. I absolutely loved them all and I wasn’t able to find the one that tasted the best. I love the flavor of the charro beans and the spicyness of the salsa. Perfect meal.

The red stew with beef with sides of beans, rice and salad. The whole meal was good but not the best I’ve had; the tortillas were okay; and the lemonade was fine. It was busy but no waiting for a table, parking was fine but crowded, and we ur sever was fast and attentive. Overall a good place for a hot meal at a very reasonable price.

I had an omelette with ham..it was really delicious. My friend had the huevos rancheros and she wasn’t too pleased with the red sauce instead of green. We both loved the homemade flour tortillas.

Thank to Claudia and Maria for making my mother’s after funeral gathering a success. When we met with Claudia she made the reservation for the entire restaurant with a buffet to be held after they closed to the public. They set up tables, used table cloths and we decorated with flowers from the service. Everyone loved the food and the staff that waited us were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this location to others for a private event.

We were visiting El Paso and wanted to eat good Mexican food. Its a busy place, parking lot is almost full, that means good food. We did a good job chosing this place. Quick service, delicious food but big portion too. Friendly staff making sure everythings fine. Price is reasonable. They make their own tortillas and fun to watch the ladies making them. Highly recommended.

Went to this place on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Anyways, service was sub par to say the least. Only had the menudo, it’s not the best menudo but it gets the job done. Parking lot is very tiny, so that is an issue and since there are a lot of people coming to this location, putting your name on the waiting list is kind of a hassle

Thr place was packed at 12:30pm but they moved fast and we didn’t wait long. The food was delicious, hot, and fresh. Staff was fast and attentive. We loved watching the ladies make fresh tortillas and the decorations are spot on. Very good beans and rice!!!! Really good fresh chips and salsa.
Will be coming back next time I come back to El Paso.
