First thing, this is inside Southern Spice. There is no board outside that says that this restaurant is same as Southern Spice.
Second thing, in the name of Plain Naan they give you chapati in the Vegan Feast Box (see the picture). They said Basmati rice but I’ve not seen such short grain basmati rice ever.
Third, lot of food color added in Tofu Butter Masala (see the picture). The egg plant curry was too salty (hopefully not every time)
Fourth, well the taste is not great at all.
However the ambience was surprisingly good.

This place claims to serve vegan food but gives people chicken meat mixed in the food. When confronted the manager gives half of an apology saying “you’re perfect we’re not”
We’ve been a life long vegetarian recently vegan. I would never trust this place with my food. They do not take accountability and start blaming each other for their mistakes. Horrible experience.

There was food with my order of salt. Seriously, I had to drink like 2L of water after this…. extremely salty

It’s okay. I think this place IS Southern Spice, but it’s their vegetarian options. The rice was good. Curry was okay, definitely not enough spice or flavor. Naan was bad. Wasn’t a fan. It was on the tough side, and is very flat. Would I come back? Probably not.

Agree with other review that it is within a non-veg restaurant Southern spice. I ordered 2 curries with rice as to go. When i got home there was biryani (which usually has yogurt) instead of rice. The receptionist called me proactively to apologise and let me know of the mix up. No refund was given to me next day as the manager defended that the biryani was actually vegan. They don’t even have vegan biryani in the indian vegan cafe menu. It is in the Southern Spice menu. It is clear to me that its a cover up at this point. I won’t be going to this place anymore. It is important for Vegan restaurants to be strictly vegan and to avoid cross-pollination in case you are a ghost kitchen working in a non-veg restaurant.

Despite being housed in a real restaurant with tables and chairs, this is strictly a take-out/delivery establishment. Even walking up to the counter, they make you place your order and pay through a mobile app. The food came out quickly, all packaged in carry out containers. Disappointing that dine-in wasn’t an option, but the food at least was good.

I ordered from UBER eats. It took an hour and 10 minutes to get my order. Sunday October 1st 12 noon. It’s now 1:05. I order Naan, Samosa and Chana Masala. Delivered to Spring Hills Hotel. The driver said another driver picked it up.

My favorite is the eggplant curry and samosa. I will continue to buy from here as it is one of the few indian vegan options available. I would love to see gobi manchurian offered some day. My only suggestion would be to use less oil.
