Crazy experience… We were greeted, we sat ourselves. Order coffee that came literally 15 minutes later. The server didn’t bring napkins, was not attentive, forgot my grits. Told us today out she forgot about us all together. The food was tasty. That’s what we went for so it’s food so, no complaints for the chef.

I had the fried fish and an a la carte pancake. The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly! The grits were good and creamy- I love grits that are made with a little extra love and not just water ☺️ The pancake was delish! Perfect amount of sweetness, not too dense, not too fluffed. They have a homemade peach jam that they serve with the toast- oh my goodness, perfect peach flavor, not overly sweet, so good and fresh! Our server was very kind and attentive. Will def come back here!

Amazing local diner, a perfect spot to enjoy Southern comfort breakfast foods. Ordered the Fish with Spuds, it was beautifully fried and seasoned. Our waitress was extremely attentive and the food was very affordable. A perfect spot to have a nice breakfast if you’re in Atlanta!

Absolute favorite brunch spot in Georgia. They have THE BEST fried catfish. I love coming here! Their spuds and grits are really good too and their French toast is huge! Also I love that it’s inexpensive.

While walking near Georgia Tech’s campus, I came across Thumbs Up Diner — I already loved the name! There’s a big parking lot outside, but only a few spots left — looks like this place draws a crowd of food lovers.
Inside, the place was packed — 80–90% of the tables were groups of two or more. Luckily, I was seated in under 5 minutes thanks to some open spots. The menu has two full pages, and for Atlanta city prices, it’s surprisingly affordable. The staff were super friendly and full of energy!
☕ Today I ordered a coffee blend, fried chicken tenders with waffles, and deep-dip French toast.
The waffle was soft and fluffy — slightly cool by the time it reached the table, but still warm enough to melt the butter. The chicken tenders were delicious — the crispy coating had a unique seasoning blend that felt like a house specialty. The scrambled eggs were super soft and creamy!
As for the deep-dip French toast — they came in huge slices! Personally, I’m not a fan of cinnamon, so I probably would’ve liked it more without the spice. But if you’re into cinnamon, this one’s for you!

First real meal in Atlanta and oh my gosh, so happy it was. Got the chicken and gravy biscuit with grits and eggs, sunny side up. Eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted excellent, grits were creamy and buttery, and the BISCUIT. Perfectly fluffy, gravy was thick and peppery with some bits of meat and pepper that flavored things well, chicken fingers were tender and a great addition. Coffee was great as well, service was very kind!! 5/5 would eat here again and would recommend again. Pricing was reasonable as well for the amount and quality!

I came here bright and early in the morning just before going to Georgia Tech and I can confidently say that this place does not disappoint! I ordered the Belgium waffle with eggs and chicken stripe. They were perfect! Also the waiters made me feel welcome. I will give this place a huge thumbs up!
