Absolutely first rate food and setting. I had the cold noodle bowl and it was one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time. The flavor was a 10/10. The interior decor is elegant and relaxing. This spot is a great addition to the greater Downtown and Winston-Salem food scene. The small grocery section was not fully stocked, but what I saw looked good.

I love everything about Pleasants Provisions. The whole look and feel just works. From the bar to the provisions area to the way the food and wine are presented, it feels thoughtful without trying too hard. It’s such a gift to have a place like this in the West End.
We went in the dead of winter and it was still amazing. Cozy, warm, inviting… the kind of place that makes you forget it’s freezing outside.
Our server, Chelsea, was wonderful. So warm, so attentive, and her recommendations were spot on. The Pinot Noir was perfect, and we started with the cheese plate and hummus which were both beautifully presented and genuinely delicious.
My daughter and I split the hamburger salad and I’m not kidding when I say I may order it many more times. It was that good. We ended the night by grabbing ice cream sandwiches to bring home, which felt like the sweetest little bonus.
The space is clean, beautifully decorated, and just has that inviting energy you want in a neighborhood spot. I cannot wait for warmer weather because sitting outside there is going to be so good. Already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Pleasants Provisions!
The food and wine were excellent. The atmosphere was a great blend of upscale dining with casual comfort.
Best part though was the staff! Excellent service, knowledgeable and attentive.

The entire team created such a wonderful and unique meal. I was so excited to walk in, be greeted so warmly and take in the beautiful space. Winston is really lucky to have Pleasant Provisions!
We started with the shrimp ceviche and a caesar salad. Both were great and highly recommend, the pickled onions on the ceviche were such a great touch and added flavor. For the mains, the sesame noodles had a bold flavor and were perfect, even on a chilly night! The dip was great and gooey cheese on top, yummm!! Also, don’t skip out of the goshujang sugar cookie.
The wine list looked great and can’t wait to have Calvin pour some perfectly paired wines after Dry January!

This is the spot the West End / downtown Winston Salem has been waiting for! Pleasants Provisions is a beautiful space that includes the restaurant, large bar area and retail. The shrimp ceviche is amazing, and I love the “to go” items I’ve tried so far…my favorite being the chicken and rice bake. It was perfect to bring home for a nice and easy family dinner. My kids have also been cleaning out the ice cream bar selection. 🙂 Can’t wait to go back again!

We ate lunch there recently. Thai cabbage salad (with shrimp added) for me, and sesame noodles for my friend. Prices are reasonable. Service was very good.
