45 minute wait because they said they had an issue with their fryer. We didn’t order any fried food. Terrible service and the food was average at best. Don’t recommend what so ever. fooled me once, never again. Portions are super small as well. We paid 40 bucks for this tiny amount of food. I support local businesses beyond belief but I also will call you out if need be. I was seconds away from asking for a refund. Now that I got home and started eating I wish I had. No flavor in anything. Waste of money if you ask me. If you dare try this food I wish you better luck than we had.

Great food! We had pulled pork and brisket with several sides. The pulled pork was the best and the beans were great. The service was a new experience as I’m not sure there was a dedicated order taker and they may have been short staffed, but when the food is ready, they deliver with a big smile. Outdoor dining or takeout only. About half of the tables had shade. Absolutely the best BBQ in Fairhope right now.

First time eating here. Love the smoked ribs. They were fall off the bone tender. The sides were very good and generous portions. we will definitely add Pirates Pitt into our rotation and be back the next time we have a taste for BBQ.

I reached out to Pirate’s Pit bbq via Facebook messenger to see about catering an associate holiday party. From the first interaction to the last, it was very prompt, pleasant, and informative. We ordered pulled pork, bone in chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, and banana pudding cake. Everything, down to the bbq sauce was absolutely delicious. The banana pudding cake is the best dessert I’ve ever tasted. Very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to do business with them again.

When we ate here we met the owner who told us that it’s a family based joint! It sounds like they are about to be expanding the restaurant a lot soon!
For two pulled pork sandwich combos with cole slaw added it was $30 (drinks and side). You can’t beat that.
The food was amazing! The BBQ sauce has a vinegary twang which is freaking delicious. I definitely recommend!

If you’re down on the beach you gotta make the trip. These guys are too humble, this bbq blows out anything on the beach..I’ve had them all. Their seasonings are absolutely dialed in. The pulled pork was delicious, just enough smoke and really good rub on there. Not soaking wet, and not too dry. Just right! Each item had its own distinct flavor. Looks like they make a hell of a burger too. 5 stars all the way!

Super solid brisket, great pork sandwich. GREAT service. Was just passing through Fairhope to eat seafood but saw the smoker and the outdoor tables and had to stop by. Glad I did!
