Had the £9.95 cod, chips and mushy peas and it was excellent. I can’t think of any better chippy meal I’ve had in 10 years. The only one that came close was one I had on the Scottish Coast.
I had my dog with me so couldn’t take it to the counter but after a bit of arm waving, one of the staff popped to the front and took my order, brought it down when it was ready and also bought a pot of water for my dog.

The queue to get into this chippy was huge so I saw that as a positive sign. I waited over 30 minutes to get served. Staff were super efficient and friendly. The food was generous portions and the fish was huge. Once I sat down to eat my meal, the chips were cold and just crusty leftover bits and the fish was chunky but cold wrapped in a thick hard coating of batter. I could not finish the meal as it was not the best to be honest. The location was close to Skegness tower so catches a lot of trade.

My very first proper British fish and chips! Portions are massive! I am a big lad but the regular portion is for two guys like me. 🙂 During our second visit me and my daughter got one mini cod and chips set and it was enough! It is not a disadventage by any means but one needs to be aware that you’ll get a big meal for decent price!
The fish is fresh and crunchy, chips are nothing spectacular but with gravy or curry sauce, decent.
Oh, I also tried chip with cheese. Calories galore but worth it!! Hahha
Oh, the onion rings were good too!
Whenever I will be back to Skegness, I will come here again!

Every time we come to Skegness we eat here and after all these visits I thought a review was in order.
No qué, plenty of tables. We got there about 12 noon, they soon got busy.
Food was an incredible price, large haddock chips and a side of your choice for £9.
Was a gent going round cleaning up as soon as people left which he was very thorough doing, only problem was he was stood near the table and I felt a bit awkward like he wanted us up and gone.
Excellent service

The best fish n chips hands down in Skegness, possibly best in UK. The fish is massive, chips are always spot on and the curry sauce is also perfect. Can’t go wrong all for under £10! You will not find a better deal anywhere. Service is a bit slow but they rarely mess up so it’s worth the wait which is usually about 30mins in the queue!

Me and my friend were ordering our food and I got chicken breasts and chips and she got a battered sausage with chips. We sat down and the food actually didn’t take a while to make but when the lady called our order, we were confused if it was ours because it didn’t look like what it would be and she didn’t yell loud enough and we sort off just stood there. The lady was talking to an employee and then she looked at us like “yeah this is your food” and a sorta mean way. We got our food and mine did not look appetizing. The chicken was dry, tasteless and to much and the chips were just normal and the battered sausage was very flavourful. The interior of the place is very settling though. We loved the pirate theme, and it’s very spacious and quiet. The toilet was sadly closed though.

This has the most fun facade and interior of a fish and chip restaurant that I’ve ever seen. Such a fun venue.
As for the food, some good some not so good. Nice big piece of fish. Tasty. Well cooked. Good batter. But the skin was left on and that means it’s not as pleasant to eat and in the end i had to eat around it. It’s not impossible to remove this as other places in Skegness prove.
Mushy peas were nice and thick. The best of the ones visited so far.
Chips were underdone.
The garlic mayo was just a cheap supermarket one squeezed out into a container and not tasty.
They did also have a special on for batter pigs in blanket. I generally enjoy a battered sausage so had to try them as its Xmas time. Sadly, they were not good and felt very undercooked. Big surprise.
Go the once to experience the venue and if you want more fish try one of the others. There’s one that I definitely think is better overall.

Excellent. Deep fried mince pies were fabulous. What’s even better? The decor. 10/10 would recommend

This place is delicious. Highly recommend it. Fresh fish daily, prices right, and it’s sooo delicious. I had the skinless cod (large) it def can feed two. The fries/chips were nice. Add little curry sauce, or option of mushy peas, can’t go wrong. Add salt and malt vinegar for an authentic English flavor.
There are about 7 other fish and chips options right there, but we enjoyed Trawlers best.

Very busy on a bank holiday. But queues went quickly. Very nice fish, chips & mushy peas. Great atmosphere and incredibly popular. Kept very clean by the staff. Good variety of food options/ kids meals.
