Atmosphere is classic bar style. One big projector on the wall for games. Everyone’s right about expired beer saw for myself. Spoke with bartender “Steve” (I think his real name is savas based on other reviews) he suggested the gyro. Gyro was overall pretty good however I had to construct it myself. Food came out quick it’s a bar so don’t expect anything crazy it’s mostly just nuked in the microwave or quickly made otherwise.
In total if you’re looking for a place to drink I would suggest against the ten dollar expired beers here. If you’re looking for a good spot to watch the game and don’t drink this is a wholesome bar to do so.

I walked into a dark, empty restaurant and thought it was closed. I had just finished moving in a couple of blocks away and wondered if if I was hallucinating from fatigue. The proprieter appeared, he was nice, sat me at the bar. The menu is very limited. All sandwiches and sides. I ordered a chicken on pita and fries. Both were really dry. Only bottled beer, no drafts.

We came here for drinks and absolutely loved it! Steve was full of knowledge and stories and was very attentive to us. Service was quick and we had a great time. Will definitely be back!

Comfy neighborhood bar. Kitchen was closed when we were there so I’ll have to go back some other time and try one of their burgers. Steve served up a couple of nice cold ones. Lions crowd had already left so it was nice and quiet when we were there. Definitely dig the old school charm and the big vinyl booths.

The vibe is absolutely immaculate, it is like a time capsule. The burger was delicious. The owner was so friendly and fun with our group, he even gave us a parting gift. I won’t forget it.

Tried coming multiple times and it is always closed. Randomly saw the door open today and rolled on in. Inside is perfect if you wanna have a drink and feel like a Detroit mobster from the 70s.

Stopped by as we took kids to a concert at The Fillmore. We were the taxi driver..lol. What a fabulous burger, can’t remember the last time I had such a tender flavorful burger and it was bigger than the bun. Little inconspicuous place but what great food!! Thanks Nick

We just had cocktails we did not have food. We absolutely loved the bar and we loved the owner. A very nostalgic place.

Gaslight is a Motown original. Never know who may stroll through the door here. As with most downtown spots its within walking distance of the train. This is a serious up and coming part of the D.
Food is good but a little on the high side. I was informed by a server that will be changing soon, we’ll see.
Call ahead to see who’s in town or just drop in for a drink.
