It started out as an idea between friends— a casual cafe in Hollywood that would utilize seasonal local ingredients to create gourmet breakfast and lunch dishes at an affordable price. Friends and partners Kamil Majer and David Fris shared that dream, which ultimately became a reality in 2006 when the first Blu Jam Cafe opened its doors on Melrose Avenue. Visitors can indulge in our signature Crunchy French Toast or explore lighter fare with the Power House – and everything in between. Our lively and inviting ambiance pairs perfectly with an unwavering approach to quality, service and culinary innovations. Table #2 will always have a special place in our hearts.

Great music, great coffee, great food!
This Turkey Reuben is part of November’s special, a must try! The coffee is amazing, unlike the usual daily brew that you find elsewhere that tastes like water.
I see Chelsea and MU flags there. And they have special screenings for EPL matches. Something you rarely see in a country that calls football ‘soccer’.

Cozy neighborhood cafe with excellent brunch options, I got the quesadillas which go great with the potato side, also the set of tacos is good tasting, cant complain about the portion sizes, perfect for brunch, definitely one of my favorite brunch places in the ares, staff is usually friendly although the service falters a bit when it gets busy, waits are also common on weekends, other than that a great experience.

I’ve been coming here since 2006. The staff is warm and welcoming. The dishes are creative and delicious, with so many options, it’s hard to decide (personal standouts for me are the crunchy French toast,the crepes, eggwich, breakfast carbonara, and the vegan scramble).The vibe is perfect, good music, people who make an effort to make you feel at home. In a time where everything feels more expensive, I appreciate the effort they put in to keeping things affordable. Oh, and parking is easy!

Diner is a little smelly. You give your order either through their qr code or at the counter. There weren’t many people in the restaurant but they seated us super close to 2 other diners. There were plenty of open seats. We tried the crunchy french toast and the eggs Benedict. It was all great! A little overpriced .

5 stars is an understatement! I am being very honest about it and I have to admit that this is the best burger place I have ever been to. I added a sunny side up to my “brunch burger” and the result was out of this world. The California omelette was equally good. The iced lattes were also tasty. This is a must visit brunch spot in LA. I am sure their desserts and pancakes were equally good, but we didn’t have it in us to eat further after the entrees!
