One of the best fish and chips places we have been to. The fish (Haddock) was fresh, battered was thin and crispy. Scampi was equally great. Very generous portions. Great price. They also do a Lite bite Cod and chips portion for £5.95! Really great value. Chips were crispy and not like some chippy who used the oil for too long or soggy chips. Mushy peas was really good too… creamy and not too salty. Service was good and polite. This is the chippy that partnered with Fortnam in the summer and known as Fortnam-on-sea. So there is certain standard. They also sell Fortnam labeled water. Then we sat by the sea on outdoor tables. Really great experience! Highly recommended.

I take my fish and chips seriously and I will say this is the best quality and value fish and chips I’ve had in a long time – delicious and so reasonably priced! Just enough portion wise that we all finished it but weren’t uncomfortably full. There aren’t many places where you can still get a decent portion of fish and chips for only £6.95! The way it should be enjoyed 🙂

Good selection of cold drinks in the fridge inside.
We sat on the outside seating, but served in boxes so easy enough to eat on the beach or elsewhere.
Reasonable prices, particularly for location. 100% recommend and worth the wait

Has been one of the best fish and chip shops to which I’ve been. Fair prices and a fair portion. Their cod is usually cooked to perfection, but today mine was a bit soggy. Get there early on a nice day, because the queue will become long quite quickly. Today I queued for about 45 minutes for a Large Cod and Chips. Don’t regret it, but wish my cod was crispier.

Fish and chips done properly and served efficiently, and great value too. There’s a queue for a reason! There is a small fairly basic indoor seating area (Pete’s Seats) just round the corner if the weather isn’t great.
