We ordered the chicken fried chicken and the chicken fried steak dinners and they were soooo delicious. Perfect temperature and great portion size for servings. Great flavor and taste on everything and was greeted with a big smile from everyone. Was checked on perfectly and for desert we had chocolate cake and peach cobbler. Definitely will be coming back. I’d recommend this place.

Wanted to get out of the car after a long day and Angel’s Diner was there to satisfy. Plenty of options for food so I got the pulled pork sandwich and the wife got chicken fried steak fingers.
Staff was amazing! They checked on us a number of times to make sure everything was good and we didn’t need something.
Food wise was good. Pulled pork was good for the price and the steak fingers was also a good size.

the food was absolutely phenomenal! We got an order of fried green tomatoes to start, and they were super good. I got the bbq dinner with green beans and okra, and it was perfect, the meat was super tender! My fiance got the Surfin USA Burger, and it was absolutely delicious. The service wasn’t great, though. We ran out of tea halfway through our meal and weren’t offered more until we were finished. Our original waitress (curly brown hair with blonde highlights) passed by several times and ignored us, then just kind of disappeared. A different waitress (dark brown/black straight hair) had to help us instead, and she was great! The cobbler was also phenomenal!

Not impressed at all. The picture is the grease from my wifes pulled pork sandwich special. The amount of grease was terrible. I had the kings cut chicken fried steak. Turned out to be (2) 4 to 5 oz patties that was mostly breaded. Not even close to a kings cut IMHO. Both of our fries tasted like it was cooked in oil that was used to fry fish. The side of beans were good. The waitress never came back to check on drinks, other than to give us the bill. I’ll pass in the future.

Wow! We stumbled into this dinner on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is quintessential retro diner with pictures of Elvis, a statue of Dick Tracey, and more! The menu is extensive and we all had burgers or sandwiches and they did not disappoint. They service was excellent and our waitress was the nicest young lady we could have asked for. It’s easy to access from the highway too. Do yourself a favor and to this place!

We tried this place for dinner while traveling through the area. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. Our server Stevie was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered the Fried Pickles and Fried Green Tomatoes to start. I ordered the The King’s Chicken Fried Steak and my partner ordered the Smothered Ground Chuck Steak, both were cooked to perfection and so delicious. You can get bacon as a side which was cooked perfectly and tasted so good. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. You can watch the cook prepare the food as they have an open kitchen concept. We will return the next time we are in the area.

Angel’s diner not only has great food and service, it’s super affordable. If you’re a fan of onion rings you have to try their hand cut and battered rings! So delicious. The burgers and sandwiches were top notch. There is also a dog friendly patio with fenced yard if you don’t want to leave your pups at home.

We tried Angel’s Diner this evening. It looks cool from the road and I have wanted to stop since we moved here.
Service is immediate. Very attentive staff! The food came out fast and was really good. We ordered chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak and shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the food, the rolls were fluffy, I can only compliment our visit.
We ended with a fresh piece of apple pie, which was as good as homemade.
Prices were reasonable!

Stopped by Angel’s Diner in McAlester on my way back from Tulsa to Dallas, and I’m so glad I did.
I ordered the large biscuit and gravy—only about $5. The biscuits were nice and fluffy, and the gravy was seasoned well… I also got a side of corn nuggets for around $8. Both hit the spot! The gravy didn’t have any meat in it, which was a nice surprise, and the server took the time to walk me through all the non-meat options on the menu. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out.
The service was quick and super friendly—they greet you with a smile when you walk in and say goodbye as you head out. The diner itself was clean, welcoming, and full of character, with that fun retro vibe that makes it feel like a step back in time. And the steady flow of locals coming and going showed that this place isn’t just for travelers—it’s clearly a hometown favorite.
Whether you’re passing through or live nearby, Angel’s Diner is worth a stop. Solid food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
