Locale absolutely exceeded every expectation for our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. Planning was effortless, communication was great, and the team was so accommodating throughout the entire process. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and we were given the patio space to ourselves, which created the perfect atmosphere. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly sweet.
The cocktails were fantastic, service was quick, and the food was outstanding. Portions were huge, everything was absolutely delicious, and our guests left full and happy – raving about the meal. After dinner, we turned the intimate rehearsal dinner into welcome drinks for additional guests, and Locale handled the transition flawlessly. They quickly transformed the sit-down setup into a standing cocktail-style layout, the bar staff kept up with the larger crowd with ease, and they made sure pizzas and cannolis were ready for everyone.
One thing that stood out was how cared for we felt. The owner even stopped by throughout the night to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly. It’s rare to feel that level of genuine hospitality.
Locale was the perfect spot to host the night before our wedding. It set the tone beautifully and made everyone feel welcome at such a charming, comfortable place full of great energy. We’ve also dined at Locale for regular dinners, and the food and service are just as incredible whether it’s an intimate night out or a larger private event.

We stopped by Friday evening for dinner with the highest expectations to try “best chicken parm in NJ.”
It’s fine, it’s good. But not good enough to order it again. High quality chicken and large portions were negated by bland flavor, mushiness, breading that fell off, warm (not hot) serving temperature and an unremarkable sauce. Not coming with a side of pasta is wild.
Other entrees ordered included the pork chop and seafood risotto, neither of which were home runs, either. All the food was just… fine.
On the plus side, service was impeccable, the seasonal decorations were beautiful, and our cocktails were fantastic. A great wine menu, too.
For its reputation, we were very underwhelmed.

What a fantastic experience at Locale! This place is definitely going to be one of my new go to spots in Monmouth County.
It’s a truly family owned and operated restaurant, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk in.
The owners Joe and Tommy are incredibly welcoming and genuinely great people, the food is just the icing on the cake. Everything we had was absolutely phenomenal.

Had an amazing experience at Locale. The chicken parm was outstanding—perfectly crispy and packed with flavor—and the cocktails (El matador & banana old fashioned) were just as impressive. What really made the night special was the hospitality from the owners, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Incredible food, great drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend.

The food and service were fabulous. Our waiter, Alfonse, was wonderful. The NEGATIVE is that we ordered a tiny, appetizer size bar pizza and were charged $29.99! The pizza was delicious, but that pricing was obscene especially when their much larger pizza margarita is $20. I hope that management lowers the price to a fair level. It definitely put a damper on a really lovely meal.

We decided on meatballs as our appetizer, which consisted of three delicious servings, and they exceeded our expectations wonderfully! I opted for the pork chop, which undoubtedly ranks among the best I’ve ever tasted – perfectly crispy on the outside, succulent and juicy on the inside, complemented by a sauce that was decadent, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. In the end, we found ourselves sharing both dishes, as they were simply too good to keep to ourselves. The atmosphere at Locale is leisurely and inviting – are ideal backdrop for a laid-back dinner date or an enjoyable evening with friends. Without a doubt, I would make a return visit! Additionally, they have a bar area with seating and several televisions for added enjoyment.

Everything tasted super fresh — you can tell they really care about their ingredients. We started with some wine (good selection), and our server helped us pick a perfect red that went with our meal.

I got the chicken parm and it was one of the best I’ve had!! — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce was rich, fresh and flavorful. We also ordered gnocchi – soft and tossed in this creamy sauce that was totally addictive. We ended up sharing both.
The vibe at Locale is relaxed — perfect for a casual date night or dinner with friends. I’ll definitely be back!! They also do have a bar with seats and a few TVs.
