Passing through on my way west. Stopped for the night in town and found this amazing jewel in the middle of nowhere. The ribs are out of this world. Beans to die for. Didn’t catch the name of the gentleman running the place, but his attention to detail and dedication to customer service was exceptional. True patriot living the capitalist dream.

I love BBQ and I’m very forgiving of restaurants that are having a tough time – or not – or when they just have a bad day or something but this was absolutely inedible. Coleslaw was disgusting and translucent and had a horrible flavor, the pulled pork was not cooked in some places and tasted awful, and the homemade chips were harder than slices of rock I could probably chewed through easier. I’ve heard people talk about how great the food is at this place but it was definitely not great when I ate there.

No joke the best BBQ I have ever had! Brisket was so fricken tender and juicy with an insane flavor. Ribs were smoked perfect and also tender and moist. BBQ sauce had a perfect flavor and constancy with the right amount of heat. Will never forget this place!

Made the hour drive again for the awesome food yesterday. The place was empty. I didn’t understand it. The food is always amazing. The service is always great. The prices are very reasonable and there are always leftovers for lunch the next day.
BUT…….. 10-27-25
Today I was looking up the restaurant on Google maps.
1. That restaurant has the best rating in that area.
2. The surrounding restaurants show up on the map. For his building, the music store is what the map shows. You have to really zoom in to get Fourquarters to show up on the map. Even when you search “restaurants” you still have to zoom in further after the other restaurants populate.
Something seems very fishy.
One of my favorite places to eat. So worth the hour drive. The loaded baked potato was amazing as always. The baked beans are so loaded with pork that they are the best anywhere. You won’t get a better value for your buck. Prime rib is on Sundays only.

An owner who wants to make you happy and hustles to provide excellent food at a good price. He was happy to give us a sample when we couldn’t decide. The meat could be cut with a plastic fork – yes I said fork! Great potato salad and coleslaw, too. While beer is most people’s choice, he has some wine that looks like it would be sweet, but was actually very good.

Every time I’ve gone to four quarters It’s been an amazing experience. They’ve always been kind and even when I’ve gone weeks and or months of not coming in, they always remember my name asked me how I’m doing and the barbecue Is always really good I even was able to get homemade beef tallow from them if I could give 10 stars I would!
