All the way to the takeout packaging and “fancy” cutlery. So smart packing in the brown paper box and bag. I drove home to the island and my food is ready to eat right out of the box. Omg I have not a single negative thing besides where have they been all my life?

I have to say I didn’t expect too much whenever I see high ratings in a small town, but the pictures looked legit and the ambience looked great.
Omg. Small town, “big city standard” flavors. I’m originally from Bangkok and I love rich flavors that are well-balanced. The brisket was amazing (I lived in Austin at one point) and the nachos were the best I have ever had. I don’t like it when the chips get soggy, but even with all the sauce and toppings – the chips were still crunchy. Nice view of a historic courthouse and large portion as well

We had the chance to bring our entire office to Hootenany’s today, and it was an incredible experience. We had more than 14 people attending, and we worked with them ahead of time to get our orders set up so everything was ready when we arrived. From start to finish, the food was outstanding.
I always judge a barbecue place by whether I need sauce for the ribs, and Hootenany’s absolutely delivered. The meat was moist, packed with flavor, and honestly didn’t need sauce at all. That said, the street corn deserves special mention. The sauce on the corn was so good that it ended up becoming my dipping sauce for everything else on the plate.
This is a great spot for lunch or for a group meal. If you’re bringing a large group, a little coordination ahead of time is a good idea, and getting there early helps if you want to make sure you have seating since they don’t take reservations.

After a family vacation on Jekyll Island, we stopped in Brunswick to eat. We were just browsing the map and decided to give this place a try. O. M. G. When i tell you I still dream about the brisket nachos at this place. I’ve tried to recreate them to no avail. The vibe was great, the food was awesome, and the memories of this place are top notch. Can’t wait till the next family vacation!

Absolutely fantastic brisket!!! Seriously the best I’ve had outside of Texas!! Very generous serving. Also very much enjoyed the sausage. The smoked chicken was given to me by mistake but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise!!! Incredibly succulent. I loved the potato salad and the corn. The slaw is very wet and very mustard heavy. Interesting combo. Unfortunately the tea is brewed with the local water so it has a nasty sulfur flavor. Overall a fantastic experience. We will be going back on weekend to try the ribs and the pork. Highly recommend. Much, much, much better than other local bbq establishments.

Brisket ribs and pulled pork excellent and if you have seen my other reviews. You will know we eat a lot of food.
Bbq did not need any sauce seasoned to perfection tender and juicy. The ribs had just enough pull from the bone then melted in your mouth.
Hidden gem visiting the area on the way to the beach. Glad we detoured. We will be back soon.

I hired Hootenanny’s to cater my son’s wedding rehearsal. I cannot recommend them enough! All of the food was excellent! We had brisket, chicken and pork with several sides and dessert. All of the food was a hit with all the guests (especially the brisket)! Also the street corn is a must. The communication was great from the beginning! They arrived on time to set up catering and provided excellent service during the dinner! If you are looking for BBQ in the area, and may have an event to be catered, I would highly recommend Hootenanny’s!

My husband and I came into town from Savannah. We stopped here for lunch, and it was amazing! I had brisket tacos with charro beans and he had a brisket sandwich with mac and cheese. Our food was delicious. The brisket was so perfect. The atmosphere in this restaurant was also stunning. I was pleasantly surprised by the price, quality, and vibes. I will definitely eat here next time we come to Brunswick!

We had our Wedding Reception here in November. From our initial contact until the reception the customer service and staff were excellent. The venue was intimate and just the right fit for our family. The food was good as well as the presentation. The meat charcuterie board was a hit. And they are still talking about the sausages. Whenever you are in the area you must stop here for a bite to eat and enjoyable experience.
