We were visiting from out of town and I still dream about that chicken and dumpling soup!! The best in town, maybe the whole state!! I can’t get anything like it in Michigan so I’ve tried to duplicate it. (No luck.) The service was so welcoming and friendly. We were visiting with my aunt and it was like being in someone’s home. Thanks for letting us hang out and catch up and for the delicious baklava!!

Everything about Golden Basket Restaurant is done right. I can’t say enough nice things about the wonderful staff. I came in and used the bathroom first, which was very clean and well maintained. Then u returned to the front, grabbed a menu and sat down on a bench. I was greeted by the owner and then a waiter, who took be to the bar seating area and gave me a glass of water while I looked over the menu. I couldn’t help but watch this very efficient staff perform their duties. They are a well oiled machine and worked together to quickly get out orders and keep everything super clean. In the midst of this controlled chaos, they were very polite and friendly to guests and each other. While I waited (not long) for my order, the owner came over with a beautiful chocolate cream cake and offered me a piece because it was my first time there. What a lovely surprise! I can see just from their customer service why the restaurant was so busy. I took my order to go back to my hotel. I was not disappointed! I ordered a BLT, fruit, and Chicken Dumpling Soup. The BLT was still crispy and had just the right amount of mayonnaise. The Chicken and Dumpling Soup was full of yummy chicken and soft Dumplings. The broth was rich and seasoned nicely. It also came with bread and a huge handful of crackers! The cake was out of this world. More European than American, if you don’t mind me saying. It was rich and chocolatey without being too sweet. Thank Golden Basket for wonderful service and delicious food! It was wonderful meeting you all. Can’t wait to come again!

Gus and his mom are the best business owners ever! My granddaughter always chooses this place to eat, especially for her birthday and Gus has always treated her special from a dish of ice-cream to a quarter for the gumball machine. Gus’s mom would fill my leftover soup container to full and Gus buys me a container of soup on occasion and especially if the purchase is over a certain amount. Sunday 2 orders had fries, they came out to us lukewarm. Our waitress offered to make them fresh!

And, we had a birthday with us. The waitress told him he had dessert with his meal She brought out a large dish of ice-cream with a mound of whipped cream then he and another water sang Happy Birthday It was great!

Thank you Gus and mom for always treating me and my family like I was one of yours.

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. They offer a relaxed atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. First off, the service that we received went above and beyond. Anny did a great job, was insightful, and extremely friendly. This location has Wednesday specials which include soup or salad, bread, a potato, a vegetable, an entree, and a dessert, all for a reasonable price. My husband had the ribs and said they were so tender that they fell off the bone. Needless to say, he devoured them before I even thought to take a picture. He also ordered the salad and said that he could actually taste how fresh it was. I ordered the lasagna and it was delicious! My daughter and I had the chicken dumpling soup and it was both flavorful and filling. My daughter ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was able to add lettuce, tomato, ranch, and hot sauce to it to make it a buffalo chicken sandwich. She was beyond excited about her meal and said she would definitely order it again. My son had the kids meal with chicken strips and fries and he thoroughly enjoyed them. For dessert my son wanted more of their delicious bread, my husband had the hot fudge sundae, and my daughter and I shared the strawberry shortcake. Everything was scrumptious! I can’t express how much we enjoyed this restaurant and loved the variety of foods on the menu. I would highly recommend Golden Basket to anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast on a Sunday morning. Server was a very nice teenage girl with braces. Forgot her name, but she was on it. I actually had to catch her to say I didn’t need another Diet Pepsi. I am new to the area and love a good breakfast joint. I will be back.

They always have such amazing service at the Golden Basket, the owners and their staff are always so friendly and courteous and incredible. The food is very well made and delicious, it’s never a bad experience when I went there and I always loved seeing them when they come into my work. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a New Year’s dinner, it was his first time there and he really enjoyed it! It’s a perfect establishment for a family gathering or even a quiet date night!

Nice family restaurant. Prices are fair, the atmosphere is similar to a Big Boys but a little fancier. This was a good pick for having little kids in tow. My 8 year old enjoyed his stuffed pancakes, my 2 year old loved the grilled cheese and enjoyed our carrots and bread basket. I ordered the broasted chicken thinking it was like roasted and healthy, but it’s battered and fried, which was still delicious! My meal even came with dessert, settled on the strawberry shortcake, yummy. Our waitress was attentive and nice.

The atmosphere is so friendly, the owner greets you the minute you arrive. You are checked on by your server multiple times during your visit. Gus is amazing, always makes sure you’re comfortable in his restaurant. Booths or tables can be moved to accommodate your needs. Everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing every visit. Went here after my daughter’s cross country meet. Staff were very friendly and prompt. Daughter had the broasted chicken and said it was amazing. I had the gyro platter. So much gyro meat and feta cheese. This was also very good. Salads were fresh. Even let my daughter take her included dessert home because she was too full to eat it there. When we are in Green Bay again we will definitely stop in to try something else.

This used to be a place where our family gathered for brunch, but this last visit we did it was upsetting. We spent about $65 on our meals. (Family of 3) I understand the prices have gone up, but the way we received our food was just unacceptable. They weren’t too busy. Our waitress was behind but busy talking with others who were done eating. Our omelets were very bland and little. I have come here a few times in the past, and it was good. I’m just disappointed to see how our visit turned out. We will have to start a new tradition when traveling to Green Bay!
