This is a food truck but they have their own space, not in a gas station. Similar to a hibachi express. Plenty of food for a second portion too. Cost about 14$ for chicken hibachi.

One of my favorite not-so secret anymore places on the edge of corktown/SW. I had one so-so experience but the service, the portions and flavor stole my heart. SH even has amazing options for vegetarians/vegan. The way they cook their tofu is the absolute best! Only heads-up is parking/finding the place. Just park like any residential street n you’ll see it tucked in the back

Tried this place out for the first time today and I was impressed. The staff was very friendly, the food was hot and fresh. The butter garlic gave it a nice flavor. Good portion sizes, not too costly. The only thing I’d mention is if you’re visiting for the first time look for the food truck in the backyard of a home and you’ll find it.

UPDATE!! I’ve finally tried Benihana and I’d pick the food from Sakura Hibachi over ever returning to a Benihanna restaurant! Food truck 1 Benihana 0.
Food is always so damn delicious! I’ve never been to Benihana, but am told the food from this truck tastes just like it. Worth every penny. You can call ahead and order it walk up and order. It is made to order so I would call first! And do it fast because everyone is finding out about them so they sell out quick! Staff is friendly and welcoming!

Best Hibachi in town, better than any other truck or restaurant. They have more protein options than any other Hibachi restaurant, and the food is just better quality. And you can’t beat the price!

Found a gem. This is a food truck set up in the backyard of the home, It is nice and clean.
I walked up and ordered, but it seemed like most folks call first and then pick it up so I would recommend doing that if you mind waiting. They were busy with consistent customers picking up carry out so I was happy waiting only 25 minutes.
The food was fantastic, it is what you expect when you order from old school Benihana or Kyoto with more care taken and it shows in the quality, cleanliness and flavor. Portions were nice, Shrimp was fresh and deveined properly, veggies crisp yet cooked to perfection, I did order extra with lite onion…$18 out the door…I cannot say enough good things about the experience. I consider myself pretty darn picky and I never leave reviews but we need more culinary options of this Caliber.

Best hibachi in the city. Its a food truck so go find a spot to eat. The food is great & made to order in about 20 minutes.
