Reservations are recommended for weekend dinner times because many Chinese families might gather and dine there. Lots of local folks come in to eat and celebrate there so it can be loud. Two private rooms upstairs with minimum charge of $480 at this time.
Cantonese banquet-style dishes so family style as well. Lots of wok heat in the fried rice and good deep-fried items.

The Oriental Garden from Chinatown NYC (14 Elizabeth Street @ Canal) is reincarnated (same chef, staff, and mind-blowingly good food) – Amazing!!!
The pic is an 8 pound live Alaskan King Crab they made 3 ways (legs steamed with garlic noodles, fried rice, and pieces deep fried). Also recommend any other live seafood (live steamed fish, live scallops with XO sauce, etc.), the Peking Duck (these are the guys David Chang of Momofuku cited in his first book about how they taught him the recipe for the bun of their famous pork bun), the Beef Chow Fun… you can’t go wrong here, and staff is always willing and dependable for good recommendations.

Came here for big dinner. Got a private room , free wifi , was about to link the TV and phone for photo slide during family gathering. Food was delicious. Service was decent. Only 1 bathroom in first floor, other bathrooms are in the basement. The way down is slightly scary.

Authentic and quick. Book ahead for large parties on holidays. For specialty dishes, some have to be requested before the day as they require importing of the more expensive ingredients or more work food items. We tried to order the stuffed large fried tofu but didn’t know it was an order ahead item. We will have to come back for it one day because the picture of it inside the restaurant looks so good. The fried Lobster with sticky rice and salt and pepper fried fish pieces were amazing. Really good food. Street meter parking is up and down on 13th Ave. We took a menu from when we went back in 2023.

Very good food. Authentic Asian cuisine. The crabs come as large as 10 pounds. The 1-1/2 pound lobstet is a deal at $32 and they have the biggest oysters Ive ever seen in my life for only ten bucks.

Truly one of the most authentic chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to in New York. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood, I always come here knowing I’ll have a great dinner and an excellent time. This place may not look like much on the outside but the food here is amazing. It is truly a hidden gem.
